Today, I want to focus on the software and websites I use to make movies. We also use them for our 5 month filmmaking course. Some are free and some are paid, so I will clearly indicate which is which. Please use content that is relevant to you
Software 1 WriterDuet – Format your screenplay for free
This software/website can properly format your script and help you create a professional-looking script before sending it to casting, crew, and financiers. Your first three scripts are free. This is a great software to use if you make one or two short films a year or are working on a feature screenplay. If you have more than three scripts, you will need to pay a monthly subscription fee. Of course, many people sign up with different emails and get three more for free. We use this software on our computers 5 Monthly film production courses.
Ideal for short film makers or independent feature film makers Go here to get the software
Software 2 Adobe Premiere Pro and Creative Cloud. – monthly Subscription – I have no business arrangement with themThis is the editing software we support in our filmmaking courses and is the editing software I personally use in my filmmaking courses. feature film
It’s really expensive, but it’s a very good editing software and we teach you how to use it on our 5 Monthly Filmmaking Course. You have everything you need for post-production
You can always get education rates too if you are Register for one of our courses. this will reduce monthly subscription fee go through 75% Head here to learn more
Software 3 DaVinci Resolve editing and coloring software – free
I use the shading section of Da Vinci software to color grade my films. It’s great for film coloring and I highly recommend it for the job. Adobe Coloring is easier to use, but DaVinci Coloring is superior and is used by many major film productions. In my opinion, their editing software is inferior to Adobe’s. However it is free which is great if you are on a tight budget and you can use this software to edit your movies. For details please move here
Website 4 Host Papa – I host my website there, including this: Annual payment.
If you wanted to build a website like what you have now, Host Papa is the host I use. I create and maintain all my own websites and I found Host Dad is an excellent host.
I moved from Blue Host and had a better experience with Host Papa. Their phone service and support is excellent. If you sign up for Host Papa, let me know and I will send you a link to the best website creation tutorial for creating your website for free. For details please move here
Site 5 – Fivver _ Pay per job.
If you don’t want to design your own website, or you need any posters or any creative work, or marketing, the place I always use is Fivver. I find it to be one of the most valuable sites for small jobs done by well-trained personnel. Take a look at their website to see the various jobs that can be done at very good prices. I’ve been using them for 10 years. Highly recommended.
