Billie Eilish’s “When the Party’s Over” soundtracks a new Kamala Harris ad targeting President Donald Trump The dangers of lack of reproductive health care in office.
In this one-minute clip, reproductive freedom activist Hadley Duvall tells the devastating story of how she became pregnant after being raped by her stepfather when she was 12 years old. While she had options like abortion during her pregnancy, Duvall warned that because Roe v. Wade was overturned, young women can no longer get the care they need, even if the pregnancy ends in incest or rape.
As Harris approved the message, Alrish’s clear chorus could be heard.
Earlier in the day, Eilish and her brother Finneas expressed support for Harris. “We voted for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedoms, our planet and our democracy,” the “Bad Guys” singer said on social media said in a video released.
“We cannot allow extremists to control our lives, our freedoms and our futures,” Finnis continued. “The only way to stop them and the dangerous Plan 2025 agenda is to vote and elect Kamala Harris.”
The pair also shared a link where fans can check their registration status ahead of Election Day, November 5. “Vote like your life depends on it,” Eilish added in the video. “Because it is.”
