Thornton explained: “I don’t have a lot of interest in these types of roles. With Green Goblin, I didn’t want to get up at 4 a.m. and put on makeup for five or six hours.
“And with Mission: Impossible 3I don’t want to be the person who wants to kill someone tom cruise. If you’re the bad guy in a big movie like this, audiences will always remember it. I prefer to keep things looser and less predictable.
Yeah, I didn’t think Billy Bob Thornton would play a role like this, but the roles he’s played in movies and TV over the years fit him perfectly.
That being said, Thornton was certainly entertaining as the Green Goblin, but ultimately Willem Dafoe is the only option! As for Mission: Impossible 3, Philip Seymour Hoffman Was assigned to fight Cruise.
