As if adolescence wasn’t hard enough, a fatherless teenager living in a small town in the heart of Brazil faces a degenerative eye disease that eventually leaves him blind. As his vision deteriorates, he experiences the pain and confusion of an unrequited first love, and ultimately has to learn for himself how to see life differently.
