Released by MGM in 2024 blink twice Prove once and for all that drugs, islands, and murder are bad for you. In fact, they can be fatal. Unless you manage to survive.
blink twice It seems to be influenced by the 2009 Taiwanese movie Jue ming pai duiaka; invitation only. As long as the plot devices are similar. The protagonists can enter an “exclusive” party that they don’t belong to.
However, it’s more likely that the film was heavily influenced by the recent Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
or a combination of both.

behind the scenes
Writer-director Zoë Kravitz and ET Feigenbaum bring us joy blink twice. Does Taiwanese horror film contribute the essence of this psychological thriller/horror movie; this one hits hard.
Kravitz and Tatum are listed as producers, along with Bruce Cohen, Garrett Levitz and Tiffany Persons, who deliver a sort of modern cautionary tale. It may look a lot like the celluloid version of Polaroid snapshots and stripped photos, but in doing so it dazzles the viewer.
All thanks to the amazing team behind the scenes.
team
Adam Newport-Berra serves as the director of photography, making every frame pop. A true visual feast.
Kathryn J. Schubert, as editor, has put this book together with her attention to detail and ability to tie all the bits and pieces together. No tripping saves here.
Roberto Bonelli and Derek A. Hecker Diaz serve as production designer and art director respectively, making everything count.
The special effects makeup designer played by Luis Felipe Moreno makes this scene stunning; with the help of his amazing team of makeup artists.
everything is fine
as a cautionary tale blink twice Excellent job. It involves some things we shouldn’t do: Stay away from drugs. Be careful who you trust. However, the most important thing is to stay away from islands owned by billionaires. Remember the past: Don’t give up your smartphone.
Everything works fine. Starting with the strange prophecy and ending with “O. Henry”. It offers a high level of entertainment.
The acting here is top notch. Aki plays “Alice in Wonderland” to perfection, rushing into Slater’s world with enthusiasm. Tatum is excellent as a reclusive billionaire. *Tatum continues to get better and better as an actor. He is becoming a real favorite.
Shawkat’s performance as Jesse, “Where’s My Lighter?”, is a mixture of frustration, lovability, and annoyance. In other words, very impressive.
As far as “less important” actors are concerned?
Christian Slater is my personal favorite and he always gets it right. As did Simon Rex and Haley Joel Osment in his stepped-up cameo role.
Guest shout-out
Geena Davis always hits the spot no matter what role she plays. Kyle MacLachlan is another one who, like Davis, is getting better and better.
judgment
blink twice Somewhat surprisingly, this is a complete five-star effort. I doubt that Trapp may be partly responsible, but am happy with what Kravitz and his colleagues did. The film is available on MGM plus and Prime video streaming services.
