Everyone, get your tissues ready. The series finale of “Blue Bloods” airs this week.
It’s easy to pretend this isn’t the final season because nothing radical changes in the final episodes – they’re solid stories as usual, even if the Reagans make some changes in their personal lives that change quickly Mentioned and then forgotten about.
Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 18 spoilers indicate it will be a tense final hour as the Regan family joins forces to try to stop the chaos caused by angry gang members who want their associates released from prison.
Yes, someone died…but not Regan
For months, there have been rumors that Regan would die in the series finale.
It would be a horrific ending that would leave viewers more heartbroken than they would have been with the ending of this wonderful show.
Thankfully, spoilers for Blue Bloods Season 15 Episode 18 prove that’s not the case. There are a few photos of the funeral, but all of the Regan family were in attendance.
If they killed one of our beloved Reagan family members, I’d be happy not to have to use my prepared rant.
It makes more sense for the Regan family to mourn the deaths of others than for the series to end with a dying Regan. Of course, the fact that the show started so soon after Joe Regan’s death might throw a wrench into things to some degree, but that just makes people angry.
Now, the Reagans can rethink their life choices because of what happened and make some changes that make this episode truly the end of the series.
The city’s violence will hit close to home, prompting the Regan family to take action and perhaps reconsider things later.
Gang violence will land Eddie and Mayor Chase in the hospital. New rumors suggest Eddie’s partner Luis Badillo will be unavailable for the match, which makes sense given Eddie’s injury.
This trauma will have a significant impact on Jamie and Eddie.
I doubt the series will end with anyone quitting police work – which would contradict what Blue Bloods has always stood for – but it would give Eddie and Jamie a fleshed-out final storyline that might push them Make changes.
Addie mentioned earlier this season that she’d love to move to the suburbs, and she and Jamie discussed Planned Parenthood in Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 11, so their happy ending may take a while Move and focus on starting their family.
Addie is now alive while Badillo is not, and she may also have some survivor’s guilt, but it’s not something that can be resolved in one episode, so it probably won’t be a big part of the story.
Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 18 spoilers don’t confirm that Badillo is dead, but considering he doesn’t appear in any photos of the funeral scene, it’s possible.
If he does die, it could also lead to Jamie and Eddie taking over the care of Kyle, the son of Badillo’s former partner, who also died on the job.
If Addie’s injury means she can’t have children, it would be an especially satisfying ending, since she and Jamie should be able to have the family of their dreams, even if it wasn’t exactly what they planned.
Will Frank’s final mission bring him closer to retirement?
Tom Selleck has stated that Frank won’t be retiring at the end of the series, which is strange considering what a perfect ending it would be for his character and the show.
However, Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 18 spoilers say Frank will go on a “final mission” to capture those who tried to assassinate Mayor Chase, which may have him thinking about his future plans .
Frank may not be retiring now, but it would be satisfying if he was considering how and when to end his career.
Regardless, this final mission serves as a nice bookend to the Season 1 finale of Blue Bloods, in which the family worked together to capture Sonny Malefsky and the others who kept Joe forever Silent corrupt police.
Now, as then, Frank will step away from his executive role and play a cop, this time out to catch would-be assassins.
This will be fun. Not only has Frank been stuck in the office for years, but he’s also had to put aside his personal issues with the mayor to make sure justice is served.
Of course Frank does. He has stood for integrity and justice for many years and will not stop now.
However, this incident can finally reduce the hatred between the two.
Chase always took it personally when Frank did not support policy initiatives with which he disagreed, and opposed Frank more openly than most other mayors, often making empty threats to fire Frank even though he knew it would It is political suicide.
Maybe once Frank goes all out to catch the man who put Chase in the hospital, he’ll realize that Frank is on his side when it matters most, and the series will end with Frank and Chase on a more amicable note.
Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 18 Spoilers Promise Final Episode Will Be An Ensemble Story
The ending is probably most similar to the Season 1 finale, with everyone trying to help restore order to the city and catch those who are disrupting it.
I’m particularly curious about how this will affect Danny. During the second half of Blue Bloods season 14, he seemed to have burned out — one of the only hints we’d received that the series was coming to an end.
Half the fans would rebel if the story didn’t end with Danny and Bates romantically together, and the other half would rebel if it did, which would put the writers in a difficult position.
Danny will most likely be reevaluating some things in his life after going through the stress of this case, especially since Sean is now graduating and likely moving away (once he figures out what he wants to do with his life).
While Blue Bloods season 14 episode 18 spoilers don’t make any promises about it, a clip from the recap special shows Danny responding to Henry’s advice not to take work home with him, “I don’t People don’t take their work home”. Work home. “
So Danny might admit it’s time to get serious about dating again, and the series might end with him and Baez exploring their feelings for each other.
That makes more sense than a firm commitment, especially considering that Jake and Erin appear to have gotten back together.
Blue Bloods doesn’t need to end with everyone cooperating and living happily ever after. It’s not true to life, and if there’s a reunion movie or spinoff, some things might be left unresolved.
The only thing guaranteed is that there will be one last family dinner, with Jack Regan and Nicky back for it, and an ending that will make us all cry. Everything else is up in the air.
