Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor just wrapped up her horror comedy show 2nd StreetThe film that broke box office records in India seems to be gearing up for only certain roles.
“If I must say, I feel the best is yet to come. I feel like I want to do a lot of things, different types of films, different types of roles,” Kapoor said at a presentation at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Monday. said in an informal conversation.
That means she’ll be picky about the roles she plays in the future. “I can’t do something that I don’t feel comfortable with inside, or do back-to-back films. So I want to be in films as a different actor for me. That’s what I’m after now,” Kapoor argued say.
2nd Street, Kapoor’s Amar Kaushik horror-comedy opposite Rajkummar Rao broke box office records to become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, overtaking Shah Rukh Videos of Shah Rukh Khan Jawan. While in Jeddah, Kapoor was asked to give advice to young actors or directors, and she advised them to focus on their craft rather than chasing stars.
“Don’t do it for the sake of glamor. If you want to be an actor, glamor is 10 percent and 90 percent hard work,” Kapoor said. She added that emerging talent should have greater perspective in their decision-making when planning their career trajectories.
“I really want to try to be a part of the larger vision of the industry. So even the films I want to make, I want to make films that move the industry forward,” Kapoor said.
The Red Sea Film Festival runs until December 14th.
