The nearly five-minute sketch begins with Yang’s Charlie introducing her talk showa nod to one of the singer’s song titles, before going into a section called “brat or nat,” in which she ran through some recent news subjects, including Hunter Biden’s laptop (seen as a “brat”) and Mark Robinson’s search history (“Nature”).
Young’s Charlie – donning a black wig, sunglasses and a stylish skirt – then welcomed her guest: club legend Susanne Bartsch (courtesy of saturday night live host Jean Smart), CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins (Chloe Fineman) and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (Ego Nwodim).
“Have you ever done ketamine?” Young’s Charlie asks Fineman’s Collins, who responds with frustration at not being asked about current political events.
The background color of the talk show is the same as the cover of Charli XCX’s latest album, which is lime green. boyIt peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 in late June. The singer is currently on her Sweat Tour, which will visit US stages at the end of October.
Saturday’s saturday night live The season premiere also features musical guest Jelly Roll, making his debut on NBC’s long-running sketch comedy show. The country star performed “Liar” and “Winning Streak,” which will appear on his upcoming album, Beautiful brokenset to be released on October 11th.
Next saturday night live Comedian Nate Bargatze returns as host for a second consecutive season on October 5, with Coldplay serving as musical guests on the long-running show for the eighth time. The band, led by Chris Martin, first performed on the show in 2001 and last appeared in 2023.
