Uptight lawyer Peter Sanderson wants to start dating again after his divorce, but has trouble meeting the right women. He tried online dating and got lucky when he started chatting with a fellow lawyer. The two agree to meet, but the woman he meets – an escaped African-American prisoner named Charlene – is something he doesn’t expect. Peter is horrified, but Charlene tries to convince him to accept her case and prove her innocence. Along the way, she wreaks havoc on his middle-class life while he learns how to relax.
