Marvel Studios has held several test screenings for “Marvel Studios” Captain America: Brave New WorldAccording to industry insiders, the film received a poor response from test audiences.
The negative response to the film’s first test screenings prompted Marvel Studios to order extensive reshoots. The reshoots will take place over four months with the studio recruiting Moon Knight Screenwriter Matthew Orton will write some new scenes for the film.
However, in a new round of test screenings last week, things didn’t seem to be getting any better.
According to reports, two screenings were held, with attendees divided into groups and wearing green or red bracelets. Initial reports from World of Reel stated that two clips from the film were shown. However, each screening may also target two different ethnic groups.
Regardless, the film has been described as “irrelevant” and “bland.” Hollywood insider MTTSH also heard from some of those who attended the screening.
“Just got responses from about 3 people who went to preview screenings of Captain America: Brave New Worlds and WOOF. The movie sounds terrible.
Another report stated: “Marvel has conducted multiple test screenings of different cuts of the film over the past month.
“The main criticism is that both use the leader character, who is either too much or too little.
“One of them appears to have Amadeus Cho set up for future projects”
“Sam and President Ross consistently get high marks.”
I’ve actually been looking forward to seeing this movie, so it would be a shame if Marvel ended up giving up on it and delivering another mediocre Marvel movie.
