The Latin Recording Academy has announced the performers and presenters for the premiere, which will be held on Thursday, November 14 at the Miami Beach Convention Center and will be streamed live on the Latin Academy platform beginning at 1 p.m. ET.
The premiere will be hosted by Maria Becerra, Juliana and Luísa Sonza, with performances by Ale Acosta, Valeria Castro, Alok, Fonseca, Leonel García, Grupo Niche, Draco Rosa, Rozalén, Vikina and Deorro.
“With an amazing lineup of performers, we will announce winners in 50 of the 58 Latin GRAMMY categories, showcasing the diversity of the creator community across Ibero-America.” Manuel AbboudLatin Recording Academy CEO said in a statement.
Christian Nordahl receives special recognition at Harvard University
Mariacheño star Christian Nordahl received special recognition from Harvard University. Earlier this week, Nordahl, flanked by his wife, Ángela Aguilar, was honored by Hardvard-Radcliffe RAZA, a student organization that has been active since 1972, according to the organization’s official description. has been working for years to create “space, visibility, and community” for Mexican students at Harvard University. The group awarded Nodar Hardward-Radcliffe the RAZA Trailblazer Award in recognition of his “impact on the globalization of regional music in Mexico and his unique blend of regional music with different musical genres.”

Carin León breaks record in Madrid
Mexican music star Carin León made a historic debut in Spain, performing at the WiZink Center in Madrid as part of his Boca Chueca tour. Thursday’s (October 31) show was not only his first in Europe, but also a record-breaker. With an audience of 17,426, it surpassed Metallica’s record set in 2018 and became the most attended event of more than 1,200 concerts held at the venue.

Maluma launches activewear collection
Maluma launched his new sportswear line, which he calls Remanence, at a fashion show in Colombia on Tuesday. The hitmaker serves as owner and creative director of the brand, which is “100% designed in Colombia and focuses on responsible practices, using renewable energy and efficient processes in production,” according to a press release.
“Music and fashion inspire me because that’s where I can really be myself, Juan Luis; they are different channels of communication but they do lead to the same thing and they go hand in hand and will continue to do so as long as I Make music and I will continue to make fashion and vice versa because that’s what gets me out of bed every day,” Maluma said in a statement.
