The approach of the holidays means a fall finale and an end-of-year internet slump.
Thankfully, for TV fans, there’s a lot to look forward to (and we’re not just talking about Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer on NBC).
CBS just announced its full slate of midseason shows, and it looks like a hot winter is coming for the Eye Network.
First up is the highly anticipated new medical drama Watson starring Morris Chestnut.
Chestnut will play a modern-day version of Sherlock Holmes’s doctor’s assistant.
The series will debut on Sunday, January 26, and will kick off (no pun intended) immediately following the AFC Championship Game.
Starting from February 16, the show will air as usual on Sundays at 9pm.
Next Tuesday, January 28, the FBI will be back for a regular night.
Four popular dramas returned on Thursday, with Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage, Ghost, Matlock and Elsbeth all dropping mid-season premieres.
After that, NCIS: Sydney Season 2 will premiere on Friday, January 31 at 8 p.m. Fire Country will join at 9 p.m., and SWAT will move to 10 p.m.
Unfortunately, Trackers fans will have to wait until February 16th to see more of Colter Shaw’s touring adventures. But better late than never, right?
As for special events, CBS is fully stocked.
From the Grammys to the Super Bowl to primetime Hollywood Squares featuring Drew Barrymore, the network is looking to capitalize on its momentum in 2025.
CBS was the most-watched broadcast network in 2023 and is expected to take the No. 1 spot again by the end of the year.
Of course, the loss of blue bloods (and still confusing cancellations) could impact their numbers next year, but for the most part, CBS can do no wrong right now.
Over to you, TV fanatics!
