New exhibition by Celiz Cruz
The American Dream New Jersey Hall of Fame is opening a new exhibit honoring Cuban star Celia Cruz, known as the “Queen of Salsa.” The special exhibit will remain open through the end of November in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. Cruz died in 2003 and was inducted into the New Jersey State Hall of Fame in the arts and entertainment category in 2013. The New Jersey Hall of Fame also recognized the late artist’s contributions to Cuban and New Jersey culture and community by renaming the Forked River Service Area on the Garden State Parkway.

Mexico made history as the country inaugurated its first-ever female president, Claudia Shinbaum. Noel Schajris opens restaurant
Argentinian singer-songwriter Noel Schajris is embarking on a new venture. The “Kilometros” singer and his wife Gwendolyn Stephenson have opened a new restaurant in the Los Angeles area called Vegan Foodie Bowl. Shagiris wrote on social media: “I’m so excited to not only be cooking songs in this home… the world will now get to enjoy what I’ve admired for years… vegan home cooking made by the best people in the world. ”

Earlier this week, the full schedule for Billboard Latin Music Week 2024 (held in Miami, October 14-18) was announced and you can check it out here.
It was also announced that Ana Mena, Belinda, Elvis Crespo, Floydy Menor, George Harris (comedian), and Tito Double P will join Young Miko at the Billboard Latin Music Week 35th Anniversary, scheduled for Friday, October 18, at the Fillmore in Miami Memorial Show Beach. This event is available to Inside Pass holders. Tickets are on sale to the public, starting at $35.
Billboard Latin Music Week will coincide with the Billboard Latin Music Awards, which will air on Telemundo on Sunday, October 20. Instead, INSIDER badge holders will receive an exclusive invitation to the star-studded 35th anniversary event.
