Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 4 Spoilers: Violet Risks It All

I love this show as much as the next fan, but the promos for next week’s episode are making me anxious. We’re digging spoilers for Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 4, so buckle up!

It’s a very brief 30-second clip that shows Violet and Novak doing what they do best: saving lives.

But thanks to Violet’s risky actions to save a pregnant woman and her baby, our girl may be in trouble.

The promo immediately reminded me of two iconic scenes from Grey’s Anatomy.

During both surgeries, resident Ben Warren performed emergency C-sections on patients in less than ideal circumstances.

It looks like that’s exactly what Violet will be doing on Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 4.

If anyone on this show can do it, it’s Violet.

She was more than capable of giving birth to this child, especially with Novak’s steady hands and clear mind supporting her during the crisis.

Our brief preview doesn’t indicate whether the patient and her baby are still alive, but it does indicate that Violet will face the consequences of this makeshift surgery.

Granted, there are many things that caregivers are not qualified to do, no matter how talented they are.

I’m not an expert on the laws governing this, but my guess is that they are not fully authorized to perform major abdominal surgeries.

So, of course. Legally speaking, maybe what Violet did was wrong.

But morally? She knows what needs to be done and how to do it.

Doesn’t she have an obligation to do whatever it takes to save her patient?

Hopefully her suspension is temporary because Violet is a hero in my book.

    all stars

The promo doesn’t give us much more, but Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 3 leaves us with some big questions.

First of all, now that Jack is fired, can he still come between Stella and Severide?

After Damon throws what may be the worst insult imaginable to Kelly, I bet we’re going to see poor Seyfried face an identity crisis.

Now that talk of a Stellaride baby is still up in the air, does this really get us closer to that goal?

Seyfried represents the “ready” half of the couple, while Stella still has reservations about becoming a mother.

But what if being compared to Benny makes Kelly so afraid of fatherhood that Stella realizes she’s ready?

    Hear me out.

We’re talking about a couple who support each other through the best and worst of times.

If Severide starts to take offense to Damon’s comments, Stella will have to talk him down.

She’ll remind him that he’s twice as good as Benny once was, and she’ll make him believe that he’ll be an incredible father.

In the process, maybe she’ll realize her anxiety isn’t so insurmountable.

I love seeing Stella trying so hard to prove to Kelly that he’s going to be a rock star dad that she can’t contain her excitement about experiencing parenthood with him.

Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 4 Spoilers: Pascal’s dark secret

There was at least one moment in the last episode that made me sick to my stomach, and that was seeing Monica (Kady Strickland) excited after learning of Pascal’s violent display of jealousy.

The red flags are flying, and the award for most toxic relationship on Chicago Fire has officially been won.

Going forward, we should learn more about Pascal’s history, including his past with Monica.

Whatever happened between them, it couldn’t be healthy.

Plus, we know something major happened in Miami that led to Pascal’s departure, so maybe that event will shed light on his anger issues.

Considering one of 51’s strengths is how it embraces healthy masculinity and healthy male friendships, Pascal really tone down that vibe.

    I don’t say this lightly.

As a lifelong fan of Dermot Mulroney, I’m shocked and impressed every time he plays a nasty character.

(When I say lifelong, I’m not kidding. My Best Friend’s Wedding came out when I was four years old and it was one of my first favorite movies!)

It becomes increasingly difficult to watch Pascal’s plot develop, and that’s because the writers have done such a good job with the character.

His misogynistic tendencies and the violent side he tries to hide from the fire department are deeply concerning.

Honestly, I really hope we don’t find out that he was physically violent towards Monica.

Don’t get me wrong, Cady Strickland is a phenomenal actress. This is not the first time she has played the role of a victim of abuse.

In “Private Practice,” her character is attacked and violated by a stranger.

Strickland does a great job playing Charlotte King, especially in this storyline.

I just don’t know if I could handle a storyline like Chicago Fire.

That’s not to say there aren’t plenty of brutal moments, but it feels like we’re in an era of peace.

I’m sure the producers know this, though, and can’t wait to shake things up.

Some tough questions about next week’s episode

I have some other random questions before next week’s episode:

Will Carver find Tori cunning, manipulative, and jealous enough to delete his texts? Would he care about cutting ties with her?

Is the chemistry between Lizzie and Violet leading the way?

Can we get more scenes with Ritter, Dwayne, Novak and Violet? These four have the best energy together.

Remember when Eamon Walker left the Chicago Fire, but they said he would still feature at times? Will this happen soon? please?

The wait between now and Wednesday will feel like a long time.

Stella, Carver and Mouch assess the situation.Stella, Carver and Mouch assess the situation.

Do you have any thoughts on next week’s installment?

Let’s discuss it in the comments!

Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 4 will air on Wednesday, October 16 at 9/8c.
