It’s been another week since Chicago Fire, and Kelly Seyfried had another near-death experience.
It’s not that we’re not used to seeing Seyfried in serious danger, we just wonder if he’ll get a break.
We discuss this and more in our Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 5 spoiler roundup.
all about action
A promotional video released last week shows 51 people reacting to a brutal crash involving a crushed vehicle and a semi-truck.
Of course, the looming threat of a gasoline leak made the scene even more tense.
Like a hero, Seyfried jumped straight into the abyss and jumped into the wrecked car to rescue the driver.
Look, I don’t think any of us believe that Kelly Seyfried was killed in a random incident, so I don’t That Worry.
But that doesn’t mean it won’t be a tense moment.
Spoilers for Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 5: Ride, Stellaride
Stellaride will get some screen time this week as they investigate the company responsible for the truck accident.
Apparently, this isn’t the first time their truck has been involved in an accident like this.
Fans of the couple will be happy to see them working closely together again; it’s been a while!
After some family issues threatened to break up, the pair’s relationship is stronger than ever.
Damon couldn’t come between them, and Seyfried was determined to give Stella enough space to decide whether she wanted kids, so they stood firm.
It’s a good thing too, because the show is more interesting without unnecessary relationship drama.
Fan favorite returns
Next week, we’ll see Kelly again, a character that audiences love and can’t get enough of.
Herman will take her on one of his missions to obtain new radios for the entire squad.
It’ll be fun to see the two of them working together, and I’m willing to bet they’ll come up with some silly antics to provide comedic relief to the episode.
Kelly sadly turned down Stella’s invitation to join Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 4 51, but that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of her.
Ritter fills the open spot on the truck, so Stella will ease up on her recruiting efforts.
But something tells me that helping Herman at home might make Kelly re-examine her decision.
Happy birthday, dear Violet
Violet was the centerpiece of the final episode, and it looks like we’ll be broadening the focus to her.
She and Novak have quickly become two of my favorite characters, so I try to come face to face with Violet whenever I can.
She will be the subject of a birthday celebration in the next episode.
Hopefully her conversation with Carver last week brought her enough closure that she’s ready to move on.
There’s no word yet on whether she’ll move on with Lizzie, but I’m going to hold out hope as much as possible.
I’m no stranger to refueling boats that take a long time to sail (cough, Buddy, cough), so I can afford to be patient.
Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 5 Spoilers: Pascal Is Still mystery
Last week I had a bit of a run-in with Chief Pascal.
After a violent outburst and his frankly disgusting treatment of Stella, it becomes clear that he cannot be trusted.
Due to my lifelong love of Dermot Mulroney, I sadly have to hate his Chicago Fire character.
Then, last week, he went out of his way to help protect Violet’s job after she nearly lost her driver’s license over a phone call.
Did he have some ulterior motive that prompted him to play the hero?
Or are we supposed to believe that he is indeed a great man and leader who just has some baggage to deal with?
I’m all for recognizing the impact of trauma and being willing to let people make mistakes and change.
Still, I was wary of Pascal given his mysterious history.
There’s more to his story with his wife, Monica, and their strange and unhealthy relationship dynamics.
I can only assume we’ll learn more about these two (and everything that happened in Florida!), which will help understand what kind of person Pascal is.
Where is the fire?
For a show called Chicago Fire, we don’t seem to be seeing that many fires these days.
I know staging a big show can be very expensive for a production, especially when dramatic interpersonal storylines do well in the ratings.
I just want to see more action. Sue me!
Don’t get me wrong.
I don’t want to lose any of these characters.
But if we could go through a nice, stressful, major disaster to change things a little, I wouldn’t complain.
Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 5 Spoilers: Investigator Severide
Still, at least we get to see Seyfried in investigation mode this week, and I like that they showed off that side of him.
He’s smart, thorough, and observant, so these situations are perfect for him to flex his muscles.
(But I get it; everyone likes him to show off his other Same goes for muscles.
Wednesday’s episode will be an exciting one, so don’t forget to tune in!
And then, after the episode ends, we come back here and talk about it.
Chicago Fire airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC.
