Oh, this is going to be one hell of a storm!
Everyone in Intelligence is wrong in some way, and this time, Torres will be in trouble on Chicago PD Season 12 Episode 8.
The fall finale promises to be an adrenaline-pumping, stress-filled affair, and we can only hope they don’t leave us on a cliffhanger to keep us on edge until the series returns.
A mediocre episode that still sets up a solid foundation for the fall finale
But it wouldn’t be a surprise if they did, and we’d be spending some of the holidays thinking about the dangers facing our favorite characters.
We face a challenging situation.
Many of you were passionate and outspoken about Chicago PD Season 12 Episode 7.
While our opinions on this moment may differ, we can all agree that it sets up a must-see fall finale.
We are in a dangerous situation.
The department is now missing out on a million-dollar drug deal due to a drop in live streaming at a critical moment.
But why did the feed drop?
King’s judgment and Torres’ secrecy led to bigger problems
Well, new Detective Burgess makes a judgment call in the heat of the moment, and in order to protect Torres and herself from Gloria’s secret, they have to literally pull the plug.
Unfortunately, if they had allowed things to unfold and Gloria’s seemingly calculated admission that she had a relationship with Torres while he was undercover, it would have appeared in the official records of the case.
However, what they didn’t expect was that after Kiana Cook made a statement that might tip off Gloria or make her suspicious, a gunshot was fired and Gloria left with Kiana. .
Despite Torres’ best efforts to chase them, he was unable to walk, and now, we don’t know if Gloria hit Kiana who fired the gun, or if Kiana’s life was in danger.
We’re all nervous about what’s at stake and what it means for so many characters.
Torres is filled with guilt
The first hour is titled “Confessions,” and Torres is a deeply religious man who not only feels deep remorse for the relationship he entered into with Gloria, but also how it exploded in front of him and jeopardized the development of him and the entire team.
The next hour is titled “Confession,” which may be a reference to Torres confessing his previous sins and seeking absolution and forgiveness.
This is also a reference to self-punishment.
From the promo, Voight berates Torres for letting his guilt consume him instead of performing in such a high-stakes situation, and Torres will likely blame himself for the ordeal.
Because the department missed out on a multi-million dollar drug deal, there was a heavy price to pay, and they had no control over what happened next when the drugs hit the streets.
It’s also a bust big enough that their superiors will fall off their butts.
Chief Reed is getting a lot of attention, but why?
Presumably this is where Chief Reed comes into play.
We’ve been patiently waiting for Reed to take on a bigger role, and we haven’t seen him since he spoke with Voight and Burgess in Chicago PD Season 12 Episode 6.
But if you’ve been following our Chicago PD comments section, you know that many of you have been speculating on how Reed will step up and play a larger role.
Commenter Martha speculates that Reed would help Voight, Burgess, and Torres in this situation, but if Reed tells Burgess she owes him a favor in return, it will come at a cost, and it might With taking down Voight or going to jail.
This is indeed a crazy theory, but fun to think about.
We still know nothing about Reid’s involvement
Plus, we’re all trying to understand where Reid fits in and why Burgess’ promotion seems to come with strings attached.
No matter what we hear about Reed from Gwen Sigan and other tidbits, it’s hard to shake the suspicion that Reed isn’t quite what he seems.
The Chicago Police Department makes us wary of those in power because they often antagonize the department.
It’s almost obvious at this point, with Reed popping up at this particular time in the troops’ lives, that he’s either going to be an ally to save them in a time of need, or a possible enemy.
He actively participates in the scene with the team, racing against time to take down Gloria and possibly save Kiana.
Kiana is noticeably absent from all trailers
Speaking of Kiana, we can’t see her at all.
She didn’t appear in the promo, nor in any stills.
We already know she won’t lose her life, but are still curious about her ending.
With that shot, we didn’t know who it was for.
Judging from the stills, it appears that the unit captured Gloria at some point and had a few words with her.
Has Torres broken the team’s trust?
It looked like Burgess was taking the lead in talking to her, and it was a heated conversation.
Torres looks pensive in the stills, and he’s definitely troubled and nervous in the promos.
He knows he messed up, and that affects him deeply, especially considering the added pressure of potentially bringing the entire team down with him, including his relationship with Kya in Chicago PD Season 12 Episode 5 Na made the connection.
It makes you wonder what trust between the two will look like moving forward.
Every image of Voight is serious, and his direct contact with Reed is fraught.
Another episode featuring the entire team
Atwater and Ruzek, meanwhile, look particularly serious in many of their shots and appear very animated throughout the film.
This feels like another installment that will take place throughout time and they will be on set during the action-oriented hours.
The fall finale sounds exciting.
What do you think? What’s your working theory for the fall finale?
Do you think Torres and Burgess will lose their jobs?
What happened to Kiana?
