Creative/commercial partnership company COLTURE (Brent Faiyaz, Soulection’s Qiao KaiEmotional Oranges) is expanding its presence in the wellness space. The company has launched Mirrors Wellness Club Studio, a new division under its Mirrors Wellness Club umbrella. Marking the studio’s first music release, Sound baths are measured in watts. The second project will arrive in October.
Credit goes to Frankie Rivers – the moniker adopted by COLTURE’s team of producers and creative executives – Watt sound bath Featuring soothing wellness music, described as embodying “soul and character”. Its 10-track list includes fun songs like “Playas Cry in the Rain,” “$700 Pants Don’t Make You Happy,” “Soft Life Baddie” and “Well Ness Monster.”
“Mirrors Wellness Club Studio aims to tell the stories of black and brown people through wellness music, visuals and events,” explains COLTURE co-founder Baisden. “The next artist we are launching in October is SafeHouse. Each wellness project focuses on a specific sound. Frankie Rivers focuses on sound bath experiences, while SafeHouse focuses on ambient sounds for sleep and learning.
Now on the market, Watt sound bath Serves as the musical backdrop for the Welcome Dinner of COLTURE’s Annual Women’s Health Retreat. Mirrors Getaway, another component of Mirrors Health Club, is now in its third year and always takes place Labor Day weekend on Ambergris Caye in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Mirrors Getaway opened in St. Maarten in 2022 with 19 invitees and last year welcomed 30 invitees in Barbados. This year, Baisden and COLTURE’s content team, including production and event managers Vanessa Gonzalezwas one of 39 attendees who shed their roles as executives, entrepreneurs, wives, mothers and caregivers to realign and focus on themselves. Each day (August 29-September 2) features a range of different activities, from yoga, massage and tubing to breathing/meditation, e-bikes, conch/lobster diving and game nights/karaoke.

The 2024 third annual Mirror Tour features a group of incredible women who spent the final night of their trip at a private island resort in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

“This year we want to be really intentional about rest and overall health,” Gonzalez said. “Oftentimes, women don’t really have the opportunity to stop being ‘active’ even though they’re supposed to be ‘offline.’ This is our way of saying ‘we see you’ and giving them the space to really prioritize themselves.” After just a few days, they get disconnected and someone else takes care of it.

COLTURE, in partnership with Faiyaz, recently completed its fourth annual Show You Off grant program, providing 12 women with $10,000 each to run their own businesses or launch new ideas. So far, about $500,000 has been donated to businesses owned by black women. COLTURE also has a mature media division including television, film, podcasts and digital content, as well as real estate and new venture investments; a sports division is also in the pipeline.
