When the first trailer Ellio Come out and my eight-year-old daughter immediately announced we must see it. So we planned a date for daddy. We took a quick bite and played a few rounds of electronic warships in the restaurant (she beat me, of course). But the real highlight is the movie, because she absolutely Being loved it.
EllioThree Pixar veterans directed by Adrian Molina, Domee Shi and Madeline Sharafian cocoa,,,,, Turns redand cave, Tells the story of Elio, a lonely little boy (Elio (Yonas Kibreab) Like many classic Disney characters in the past, he lost his parents. We never told them what the hell was going on (maybe it saved for the sequel?), but he now lives with his Aunt Olga (Zoe Sadanya). Things are a little tough between them, and Elio’s attempt to make friends only ends with his bullying. He dreams of leaving town or the entire planet, looking for someone who can accept him.
One night, after going to work at a military facility with my aunt, Elio eavesdropped on talk about alien connections. He managed to send a message to the universe… Somehow, aliens heard him. Believe that he is the leader of the earth and they brought him to it. Honestly, he can’t be worse than the leader we have now (especially one).
Aliens of all shapes, sizes and colors inform Elio that he was chosen to negotiate with the terrifying Lord Grigon (Brad Garrett). Not wanting to admit the truth, he was just a kid who faked the whole thing, he accepted and, as expected, things quickly fell. Fortunately, he met a new friend Glordon (Remy fanatically), the two proposed a plan to change the situation…it was not very smooth either.
The first act is fast, fun and heart-filled. Elio is full of energy and you do feel his cleverness and resourcefulness as he desperately tries to get in touch with aliens. However, once he reaches the alien world, his pace will slow down. There are a lot of fairs and I find myself wondering if my daughter is starting to lose interest because of a little bit. But every time I looked at her, she was locked in her eyes, wide open, and completely engaged. Pixar Magic, man.
Things happen again when Elio is forced to face Lord Grigon and take him there first. The ending is really sweet, you can’t ring the message that you never give up when your chips go down.
The sound actors are excellent, especially Kibreab as Elio’s perfect turn. The film is a film by writers Julia Cho, Mark Hammer and Mike Jones, which may be a little bit of a talk, but it’s in the right place.
But, what do I know? That’s what my daughter said about it.
Ella 8 years old: Really good! Elio is fun, I love Glordon. I love the part where Elio helped save him. Can I get a Glordon pie?
