Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Announces Keanu Reeves2005 DC Classic Movies Constantine A 4K remaster will be released soon, launching next year!
The 4K version of the film will be released in 4K ultra-high definition physical version, limited edition 4K iron box version and digital 4K version on February 18, which is also the 20th anniversary of the film’s theatrical release.
Constantine’s new restoration was derived from original camera negatives and supervised by the director francis lawrence.
Lawrence and Reeves also reunite in a new special where they talk about how Constantine has become more popular and evolved over the past 20 years. You can watch the clip below.
Lawrence said of the film in an interview with CB: “It’s funny because I never really thought of it as a comic book movie. There’s nothing negative or positive about comic book movies in general. .
“It’s really just because I’m not a comics person. I didn’t know much about John Constantine and Hellraiser before I read the script. So the script was given to me, and it was my first time going into Constantine. Din’s world.
“So I really just think he’s a character that I really like and I think it’s a world that I’d enjoy building.”
“You’ve never seen John Constantine before. You’ve never seen that kind of contemporary noir, with a character like that, that borders on this supernatural world. So it felt very unique.
“It feels like there are a lot of opportunities for characters that I really like. I really like very lonely characters, and Constantine is definitely one of them.
“It was a lot of fun creating this world. So I think, honestly, it felt really unique and it felt like a great opportunity, especially being a first film.
