curb your enthusiasmof Jeff Schafer will direct a new comedy film titled blow up chatin development at Warner Bros.
The story centers on a group of best friends whose “private and highly inappropriate year-long group chat is hacked, potentially upending their personal lives and friendships with each other.”
Well this sounds like a great concept and if they can come up with a strong comedy script from the writers it could make for a very entertaining movie Amos Vernon and Nunzio Randazzo.
Schaefer is best known for serving as showrunner, executive producer and director of the HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm, which just ended after 12 seasons. He also co-created FX’s critically acclaimed Lil Dicky comedy Dave, as well as FX’s The League, which aired for seven seasons.
Schaefer previously directed DreamWorks’ sex comedy europe traveland participated in the production of Sacha Baron Cohen’s “The Dictator” and “Bruno”.
