The Daily Roundup you’re listening to is part of the Reality Steve Podcast. I’m your host, Reality Steve. Thank you all for watching this Friday. Here’s to you as we head into the weekend. Yes, a little more Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively talk. I’m going to talk about The Challenge Finale Part 1 which aired on Wednesday night.
Haven’t talked about this yet. So I want to share my thoughts. I have another evil story, this one involving Ariana Grande, that I noticed. I didn’t think this was going to be in some kind of story, but it’s become a thing now, and I know I’m right. There’s another young man, probably the same age as Ariana, Lovato.
I have a question about her. It doesn’t have to be about her. Maybe it’s more about her relationship. We’ll get to all this later. So what’s the latest development in the Justin Baldoni Blake Lively case? You ask Steve, you talk about this every day. Well, that’s because this will likely be the biggest news in Hollywood for the next few months, until A, this matter goes to trial, or B, a settlement is reached.
It’s starting to get ugly. Justin Baldoni’s attorney, Brian Friedman, one of the most powerful attorneys in Hollywood, said some call him the biggest entertainment lawyer in Hollywood. After Justin Baldoni files $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times, his lawyer Brian Friedman says he will sue Blake Lively Lively).
Her sexual harassment complaint would come soon. “We plan to release every text message between the two of them,” he told NBC News as quoted. We want the truth to come out. We want these documents to be made public. We want people to make decisions based on receipts and quotes, and you know, I couldn’t agree more with him.
That’s what the public wants, because we saw a flood of text messages and emails surrounding Blake’s complaint against Justin Baldoni. In Justin’s suit, by the way, I’m about halfway done and I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish the other half in the rest of the weekend, which is why I’ll tell you why.
Because, right in the first half of what I’m reading, the timeline doesn’t add up to me. This is becoming he said, she said. So I don’t think it’s going to be like, oh, this is clear. It’s not very clear. If you look at and read Black’s complaint, her 80-page document, you’ll read Justin’s 87-page lawsuit against the New York Times.
Some of these schedules don’t add up. Like who knew what and when it was very, very confusing. No, that’s exactly what happened. If you read her complaint and his lawsuit on New York Times, you’ll see there’s no clear answer. Unfortunately, we as the public. I’d rather have a clear answer than guess here as to who is telling the truth.
Because some things are 180 degrees different. That’s the way it is. So I’m telling you, to be fair, I want to read Justin’s lawsuit against the New York Times. The more I read, the more confused I became. This is not a good thing. I’m not confused by the legal mumbo jumbo and legalese in his lawsuit.
I’m confused by the legal mumbo jumbo and legalese in his lawsuit. What confuses me is that what he said doesn’t line up with what Black said about the timeline itself. Very very confusing. So maybe I’ll get to the second half of his lawsuit, the last 40 pages or so, but probably not.
But as he told NBC News in this quote, yes, if he plans to release every text message between the two of them, we want the truth to come out. We want these documents to be made public. We want people to make decisions based on their receipts. Absolutely. That’s how the case was decided.
I say this all the time, especially when I talk about Bachelor Nation and we talk about some of the contestants on this show and the things they did leading up to the show, you have to show receipts in 2024. See, I had forgotten. It’s 2025 now. If you really, really want someone to believe your position, unfortunately, he said, she said doesn’t work anymore.
You have to be able to deliver something credible. If there are text messages between him and Blake, then we need to see them. Now, I don’t know if we as the public will be able to see all of this because if lawsuits are filed, they may be done behind closed doors and all of these different types of things may continue.
I don’t know, but that’s really the only way people can believe in their hearts because now that we’ve seen, I think the three text messages and Blake’s complaint was much more than three. So, hey, Justin, if you want people to believe you’re coming with these receipts, come with these text messages. We’ll start there.
But until then, I don’t know, I don’t think I’m going to have much to add to the case until more comes out because I’m confused right now and it’s becoming too much, he she said, so what do I Don’t know how anyone could take a strong stance against Blake or Justin, unless you already have a story in your head, you won’t believe the other side, no matter what happens.
I said. More needs to come out. We need more information because some of this content is not adding up. The first part of the challenge airs Wednesday night, and by the way, if you don’t remember the challenge started on MTV in August, the fact is we’re in January and we’re finally going to see the finale next Wednesday night when you think about it , you’re going to be a little surprised, but that’s what we get next Wednesday night, part two of the finale.
we will see. Now we finally know there will be a male winner and a female winner. I want to just talk a little bit about the first part that aired on Wednesday night and there were a couple of things that stood out to me and both of them involved, um, only one of them involved Jenny and the other one involved, we know the challenge ending TJ’s ending usually The hardest thing anyone has to go through.
I Think GI Joe Is Hard airs next week on Fox. We’ll keep an eye on it. We’re going to cover it in this podcast, but those. The end of the challenge was brutal.
I’m not very good at swimming. I can’t remember the last time, I mean, I’ve been in the water, obviously, especially lately, every time I go to Vegas, when I go out to the pool, I get in the water, but I don’t swim I swim Not for endurance. Anyway, I had some kind of frozen drink in my hand and it was a little cold.
I don’t think so, I think all season long I felt Kellan was going to win the challenge this year, but based on the first part of the finale, if every checkpoint involved them being on a sinister ship having to swim to shore, do some puzzles, and then Swimming back into danger, Kellan has zero chance of winning.
He finished last in the first three checkpoints. And, it kind of sucks for him, but at the same time, hey, you know how this show works. You have to be good at puzzles, you have to be good at aerobics, you have to be good at swimming. At some point, all three will be included in one of TJ’s Challenge finals.
Well, Kellan was absolutely terrible at swimming, as we saw Wednesday night. Now, I know they still have karma voting, and karma voting can come in and I guess could change the way the standings are, but even if everyone gives Kellan a five, it almost seems unfair if he can come in last At every checkpoint but karma voted him to victory?
I don’t think people are going to be really excited about this, but I do kind of feel bad for the guy because when Jordan actually competes in a triathlon, he has zero chance of winning. If he competes in a triathlon, that means that no matter what TJ ends up doing, he’s going to be great. It does suggest that the only way he could fall in the finals is with a puzzle.
and. He is a very good swimmer. He built himself such a lead that he could work his way through the puzzles and still end up in first place at the checkpoint. So based on what we saw on Wednesday, Jordan is definitely going to win on the men’s side. How could he not fight?
Kellan didn’t defeat him. Do bananas still have a chance? I just, I really don’t understand how karma voting works. I thought they just said top men’s ranking and top women’s ranking, but maybe I heard wrong. All I know is that Kellan needs to start over.
He obviously has to improve his swimming if he wants to win the challenge season. This is just the current situation. But you’re like, oh my god. Kellan is one of the top contenders, but he’s shown to be a fool. Because he couldn’t get close to participating in these swimming challenges.
It sucks for him, but I don’t know how else they could edit this. It looks like this will be Jordan’s runaway success on the men’s side. Another thing I want to touch on briefly is Jenny at the end of the show, they have them do this count. 30 minutes and then go out on the dock and sing a song for 30 minutes, it seems like a rip-off of Big Brother, they have to sing Janky, janky Why have I forgotten this song now?
I love you you love me Janky, janky 1, 2, 3, no I’ve forgotten this song but you know which song I’m talking about The Janky World song but now when I think about it the challenge is Filmed this summer, oh no, The Challenge would have been filmed before Big Brother happened, so it’s likely the reality show producers were talking to each other, the Challenge producers were talking to people who had worked there, or the Big Brother producers were talking to people who had worked there Chat as a Challenge Producer.
They said, hey, this is what we did for one of these. We must let them sing when they are delirious and not let them fall asleep. So it’s possible. They ignored that because it looked very, very weird. The challenge led the men to sing songs they had written. And then that same summer, a few months later, when Big Brother was filming this summer, they had the Big Brother cast sing this crappy song.
Anyway, you have to do this for 30 minutes and then you go back and count the coins. Well, Jenny is losing her mind. I just thought, okay, obviously lack of sleep, lack of food. She might just be crazy. But as I was following on Twitter yesterday, some facts popped up on my “For You” page about Jenny apparently being a big steamer and Jenny.
Weaning off e-cigarettes. That’s why she’s so grumpy when other people might be tired, might be hungry, but they’re not struggling like Jenny, just counting some coins and singing a silly song. So I wonder if that’s it. Everyone basically says Jenny is going through nicotine withdrawal right now.
That’s why she goes crazy and people tell her to shut up. I think that’s a very, very interesting note.
