We have people in Bachelor Nation who are engaged. Girls Gone Wild has been made into a documentary and was released yesterday. I haven’t seen it yet, but Girl Madness creator Joe Francis, and boy, this guy just doesn’t get it. We’ve got the latest news on Mattel’s Evil Toy Story and we’re discussing it.
I remembered how they had some of the Elphaba and Glinda dolls a week, a week and a half ago. The box has the wrong website on it. Well, the parents were not happy. What do parents do when they are unhappy and Karens is unhappy? They sued. I received an update yesterday on the Taylor Swift fragrance story. I’m going to talk about a Tik TOK trend that I have questions about.
We’ll get to all this later. I do want to say that right away. You’re going to see a lot more video content from me, small clips from my Thursday interview, YouTube clips, Instagram videos, or the day before the interview ended, but I have someone now that’s doing the editing for me.
I can already tell you that I recorded Thursday’s podcast, my weekly podcast with reporter Kristen Burt who covers Dancing with the Stars. She was the one who listened to the Sheryl Burke podcast before the finale and predicted the order of 5 to 1 and got it right. So we wrap up Dancing with the Stars on this week’s Thursday Podcast.
I just wanted to give you an update because I feel like I’m not doing enough with video, but I’m not good at video editing. So other people are doing it for me. Hopefully you’ll start seeing me. I mean, I don’t even know how the algorithm works on YouTube clips and Instagram videos. I’ll probably post three or four volumes on Wednesday and Thursday, depending on when I record the interviews.
and. Hopefully this will get more people interested in Thursday’s interview, click on it and take them to the YouTube page, that sort of thing. Just listening to the podcast in general because I feel like it needs to be promoted out there. You’ll start to see this week, because I’ve recorded with Kristen, I’ve got videos, maybe I’ll post one today and then a couple more tomorrow, but.
Just adding a little something to the video aspect of the podcast that is released every week. We got engaged in Bachelor Nation. Michelle Young is engaged to her boyfriend. They actually got engaged just over a month ago. They got engaged on October 24th. People magazine published the story yesterday. They had exclusive photos, so they obviously arranged it in advance to get these photos published in People magazine, and I have to give this guy a thumbs up.
His name is Jack. I don’t know how to pronounce his last name. My guess is LEIU S. Leus. Anyway, he basically convinced her, and he went into a lot of detail here, and he made her believe that they were going to shoot a commercial, that she was going to shoot a commercial in Minnesota, but it was all under her management team’s control Assisted by He is Vice President of Sales for Covert Edge Sports.
They set up a fake shoot, they arranged for Michelle to sign a fake contract and get a script with lines from the ad, and he basically fooled her, and then he proposed. So I don’t know anything about Jake, and since Michelle moved back to Minnesota and away from Bachelor Nation, she’s been pretty much off the radar, which is healthy for her.
But I can’t add much here, except that she’s engaged to Jack. I don’t follow any of them on social media. I don’t know what they do, what type of content they post, if they post a lot, if they post very little, I don’t know. But congratulations to Michelle Rice and Jack Rice. All right.
Peacock has just released a new documentary called Girls Gone Wild, The Untold Story, which tells the story of how Girls Gone Wild became a sensation in the early 2000s. If you were there and remember, they played a lot of commercials late at night. For the videos you could buy as there was no streaming at the time.
You basically have to buy the video and when you see the ad you’re like, okay, this is a bunch of young sexy college girls getting drunk in Florida on spring break and someone recorded them and no one thought twice about it and hey, Is everyone here? Hey, does everyone here consent to being filmed?
The women then started stripping and the girls went wild. You, you know this very well. Joe Francis, the owner and creator of Girls Gone Wild, is a 100% asshole. He agreed. was interviewed for the documentary, but he did not want to appear on camera.
This is one of the quotes from the documentary. He was told if you believed that by filming these women you were too young, they were too young to be held legally responsible for their actions. He shot back, no, they were 17, not 18 yet. They are our victims.
I believe we all believe they were orchestrated by the Panama City police and this was totally an operation. So I believe this was orchestrated. I walked into a fucking snake pit. OK Now, Joe Francis has moved to Mexico. He had an active arrest warrant in 2014.
But this quote that he quoted, it’s like. Even though, oh, those girls were put there by the Panama City police. It’s all one surgery. Assuming he meant it was a sting operation to catch him. Like, if they do do it and you get caught, that doesn’t make you innocent, it makes you guilty. They beat you.
I haven’t watched They Are Watching You yet, but I might watch this at some point. Because it does seem like, obviously this was during that period, early two thousand years, that women were definitely exploited in the media. They’re just protected differently. I mean, this guy was walking around with a video camera during spring break just filming women and selling videos of girls going crazy.
It’s hard to believe every woman out there, I shouldn’t even say women. Basically call them girls. Because I guess most of them were under 20 at that time. Now it’s hard to believe that every drunk, vomiting, sparkling person in those videos agreed, yes, put this on the video.
I saw a video where there was a woman who, years later, 20 years later, is now a woman, she ended up on the cover of one of the videos. And she didn’t know until it came out. Then all her family knew it and all her friends knew it and I believe she lost her job. This obviously turned into a giant.
Her image has been tarnished because she is now on the cover of Girls Crazy. She doesn’t even remember signing anything that allowed this to happen. So this looks like a very interesting look at the way things were done two thousand years ago. Now there’s no way you could get away with that, though.
We’ve discussed this many times. This is what the media looks like in the early 2000s. This is very negative for women. You can get away with a lot of things but no one really says anything. I mean, think about early two thousand. There are videos out there of girls going crazy with random women, random girls on spring break, just being filmed.
Showing their breasts on camera and selling them in video stores. These films really have no plot, to say the least. And the ads kept playing. When they run at night, these ads play nonstop while you’re watching a movie or watching E Channel or MTV.
They just X the girl’s boobs out and then they show, hey, the girls here are crazy in Daytona Beach or whatever, I’m just naming a city. You’ll see the ads and you’ll see these girls looking up. Then they have an X on them. This is a multi-million dollar industry and this man runs it.
Now he claims they hurt me. I haven’t even seen the documentary yet, but man, shut up. Just admit that you did something wrong. Take your L and walk away.
