The Daily Roundup you’re listening to is part of the Reality Steve Podcast. I’m your host, Reality Steve. Thank you all for watching this Wednesday. More Devon stuff to go over some of the reactions yesterday, the impact of the podcast and the YouTube video, and I’m also going to talk about some questions that I think might need to be answered by the production and not just the basics of how did this guy get past review of?
There are some things online that I have questions about, and I do want to talk about the facts, and the person who came up in the YouTube chat on Monday night was definitely not Devin. Because the guy said I’d get the mean files on Thursday. No, you won’t. You’re a troll who goes around hoping to get attention.
You didn’t, I didn’t let you be on the show. If Devin was going to be included in the Despicable Files, don’t you think Nick would be promoting that right now, considering that’s tomorrow? So stupid. We’re going to talk about the first night of Dancing with the Stars. The Bachelor contestants and Bachelor Nation contestants are doing a great job, and we’re gearing up for tomorrow’s weekly podcast as it will be hosted by Cheryl Burke.
And then tonight, TV night in Minecraft, we’re going to talk about it all right away. So I want to start by saying a few things about German. More or less the reaction from yesterday, some of the things that I saw, some of the issues that I think we need to talk about, I do want to start here.
I told you yesterday that I knew this story was going to be picked up by every major media outlet, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Entertainment Weekly, People, and I think Us Weekly was the only one that didn’t cover it. Thank you all for the trust you have given me. It’s kind of funny though because when you read their story, literally, you read five paragraphs in and it says the story was first reported by Reality Steve.
Now, I know you’re going to say, Steve, you complained when they didn’t believe you, and now you complain when they believe you. What I’m trying to say is that they knew exactly what they were doing when they added a sentence in the middle of 10 stories. Honestly, for me right now, there are a few people who put it together in the first place.
“Variety” did it, and I believe “The Hollywood Reporter” did it too. Well, but when you put it in the middle of the story, it’s like, okay, I appreciate your credit, but this story only happened because of my YouTube video. I think the first two paragraphs should be about bachelors. I don’t want to say expert, but. Covering reality Steve from the series “The Bachelor” and then telling your story, you know, but a lot of media released something yesterday because they finally dug in and they were able to get something.
From the original restraining order, I was told that the restraining order was sealed. Now, like I said, I get what I did because it’s public record. I thought there might be a way to get something else and at least get some paperwork from the thing under the steel, but again I know this.
If I want to put it there, I’ll put it there. It was at these entertainment venues that Choice found the original restraining order. And talk about some of that. I told you it was bad. I told you this wasn’t, oh, he was calling to harass her. He harassed her with text messages.
He harassed her online. No, it’s not that if you read these stories you know what I’m talking about. The only thing I would bring up is that because there was a lot of paperwork and there were a few sites that actually posted it, people got mad at me for covering the story. They are the ones who actually publish.
All seven pages of the original restraining order or portions of the restraining order that are permitted to be viewed. I, I just, I don’t understand. Me, I don’t understand. I, I know her name hasn’t been revealed and shouldn’t be, but I’m sorry. You can’t get mad at me and issue a real fucking restraining order yourself.
sorry. That’s the most disingenuous statement you can get. illusory. You know. This is what you get when you deal with people like this. However, the thing I want to mention, and the most important thing about the original restraining order, is, like I said, it sucks. No, it was text messages or something like that, and the bottom line was that at one point he grabbed her by the neck.
So she filed for a restraining order against him. That’s the whole point of my report. The story is that he had a restraining order filed against him. It doesn’t matter who the person is. She doesn’t need to be named. In fact, on the Bachelor application, it specifically states that you cannot apply to this program because you have a restraining order.
Now you can go into semantics and say, well, Devin didn’t apply, someone else applied and nominated him. Great. It’s still in his contract. Steve, maybe he didn’t read the contract. Well, maybe he should say, number one, but number two, I said it yesterday and I’ll say it again. Anyone who’s ever been interviewed on this show can tell you that they sit you down and grill you and ask you, is there anything we should know that could reveal information about you?
This could be very, very bad for us, and it could be very bad for you. This guy sat there with a straight face and told them no. Knowing he’d had this happen to him in the past, and all he did was basically pray that it wouldn’t get out. He had no defense for it. No defense from anyone who defended him yesterday.
This is not, you know, Steve, this is college. He was, and that was seven years ago. No, sorry. Devon was free of its few drunken riots. He didn’t do anything disturbing in college. He didn’t even get a parking ticket in college. He didn’t get a speeding ticket in college. He got a restraining order from his ex-girlfriend because he choked her.
Don’t tell me he’s… these are college students. People grow. People get better. Do you know how bad it sounds when you defend this guy? So I turn the question to you. Well, if you didn’t think it was that bad, would you let your daughter date him? I guarantee you, if you are honest with yourself, 100% of people will say no.
Because he had such a past. He could have changed Steve. That was seven years ago. shit. I hope he has changed, but being on the record should prevent him from being cast as an actor. The program should have been found. If so many people can find it after I brought it to attention yesterday, now everyone can go ahead and pay a fee.
I don’t even know how much it costs to pull an unsealed restraining order now, an original restraining order. How did the show not get this? This is because they didn’t do any kind of due diligence, they just took Devon’s word for it. Devin can blame me, and his inner circle can be angry with me. You don’t realize how that makes you look.
You can’t say he’s better now, that he’s learned no, he hasn’t, because even after all this, the bottom line is still very, very, at least. I’m saying, this is the least you can get. At the very least, he’s only been filming for two months after filming, clearly the show didn’t say anything to him, clearly Jen doesn’t know anything, and the cameras are finally off for the first time since the all-night date, and this guy, at least, can at least Tell Jen, before we start this journey together, now that filming is over, I just want to be open and honest with you, just to be transparent with someone because you plan on being with her for a long time, because you remember you Four episodes of love bombing her, you telling her you’re going to put her first, all that and all of his ridiculous love bombing.
so. You might think that in this situation a person would say, hey, I just wanted to let you know this. This is my past. I had a restraining order against me from my ex from college. I think you should know this for the sake of transparency. I don’t think it will leak out, but if it does I want you to be the first to know about it.
Now, I think that’s when Jen would have had major red flags. If he told her he had to. But this guy wears that sly smile of his. He was so smug that everyone was done with his Conor McGregor Instagram post and actually thought I didn’t need to say anything because it would never get out. He counted on no one finding out.
I’m sorry. That was his regret. It’s classless, reckless, and dangerous. He at least had the ability to say something to Jen and tell her that this is your past. Let her decide. Then you know why he didn’t tell her everything I told you the next night after the last rose, because he didn’t care about her.
sorry. If you care about someone, you will tell them something important about your past period. End of story. This podcast is brought to you by Mint Mobile.
