City and Color frontman Dallas Green brings a bombshell to fans with the ballad “You + Me”, a collaboration with pop icon Pink.
The Canadian musician, who is currently touring Australia with his band, revealed the duo have completed the long-awaited follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2014 debut album rose avenue
“We started writing and recording some songs in 2018 and recorded a few more songs in 2022 and we finished it last April,” Green said, according to News.com.au. “I hope it comes out sooner, But there was a lot going on; she had just completed the feat of back-to-back stadium tours, and I was coming off a two-and-a-half-year tour of my own.

Pink first met Green through her husband Carey Hart and felt an immediate creative connection. She then invited the singer-songwriter to Los Angeles, where they recorded much of their debut album, rose avenuewithin a week.
The two artists have collaborated once before. In 2014, Moore “with [Green] One time at another show,” she told advertising billboard She “knew we didn’t sound terrible.” So when “the stars aligned” and both artists took some time off, they decided to try to recreate that magic.
Their album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart, No. 1 on the Folk Albums chart, and No. 2 on the Digital Albums chart. It also reached number two on the Australian charts and number one on the Canadian charts. The album’s lead single “You and Me” also charted in many countries.
The news comes as Green explores emotional territory on his latest Cities and Colors album, Love still keeps me close, The work was written following the tragic death of his producer and friend Karl Bareham in 2019.
Away from the stage, Green told the media that he has also recently collaborated with Australian multi-instrumentalist Tash Sultana. “They had a song they wanted me to help finish, so I came out early and went to the studio for two days, which was awesome and fun,” Green shared.
For Green, the parallels between his relationship with Sultana and his partnership with Pink are obvious. “The only person who proactively sought cooperation like this was Alicia. [Pink],” he said.
The City and Color tour will continue in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth this January, with Green returning to Australia in March for a series of shows with his post-hardcore/screamo band Alexisonfire.
