Dark wind Season 3; Episode 1 starts with crime, and the villain is obviously a big villain. This time, the show has just begun, starting with episode one, and they want us to be on the edge of the collective seat.
It’s working.
*Not ok, the show has provided us with excellent “online” chess cameo with Robert Redford and RR Martin. Redford gets the best lines here, and Natch and Martin are very beneficial to the writers. This is an extra treat for fans of the show. *

In Episode 1 Dark windS: Leaphorn and Chee try to find a missing Navajo boy. Manuelito has problems with the Border Patrol. She also tries to stop potential serial killers. The FBI has sent an agent to investigate BJ Vines and its ties to LT Leaphorn.

The story of this week seems to be about a big monster. A man who obviously wants to take on a little boy. Leaphorn is suspected by the FBI and Manuelito’s new job is facing tough times.
A boy is missing. Leaphorn and Chee try to find him. This particular season opener is credited to Vince Gilligan and his breaking Bad/Best call Saul plot. First is Leaphorn lying in death or injury. (We later learned that he was injured.) He ended in English while speaking in Navajo, “Send them all.”
y’iitsoh must be a Big “Bad.” As episode one unfolds, we begin to learn that a lot is happening here.
it works
This “big man” or “big monster” is more than just a legend. Leaphorn keeps seeing R-rated versions that look like Crypt goalkeepers. This is very harsh. Dark wind Season 3 first gives us a bondage idea.
More importantly, we see Lieutenant Joe Levern in his most vulnerable situation. This is also shocking. It feels like he has been given a hallucinogen that lasts for a long time. This could explain the arrows on his neck. But we haven’t seen this flashback part of this episode yet.
Season 3 will be cruel.

Dark wind Season 3; Episode 1 is the complete 5 stars here. It should just lose a star because of the creepy character we see on the other side of that boulder. I want to know what’s going on here.
