David Guetta, Alphaville and Ava Max’s update of Alphaville’s timeless anthem “Forever Young” rises to #1 in 2019 advertising billboard‘s Dance/Mix Show Airplay rankings (dated January 18).
Coulthard ranks 17th on the list, surpassing Calvin Harris for the most No. 1 hits since the chart began in August 2003. Guetta tied with Harris at No. 16 as “Never Going Home Again,” featuring Madison Love, led the way. In October, Harris scored his 16th No. 1 with “Free,” a collaboration with Ellie Goulding.
Next up, Rihanna has 12 dance/mix show Airplay winners, while The Chainsmokers have 10.

Max ranks No. 1 in the survey for the second time, following the win with “The Motto” with TiĆ«sto in February 2022.
Meanwhile, Alphaville leads third advertising billboard Its history ranks at the top of the list, with a history of more than 40 years. The new version of “Forever Young” ranked among the top 50 on TikTok’s trending list for one week in a row in October. The German team takes the lead in reaching the summit advertising billboard In December 1984, his debut hit “Big in Japan” topped the Dance Club Songs chart for two weeks.
Alphaville’s original “Forever Young” peaked at No. 32 on the Dance Club Songs chart in 1985. It peaked at No. 65 on the charts in December 1988, sparked in part by reruns of the radio show.
In other revisions to the song, “Young Forever” by Jay-Z and Mr. Hudson (the latter singing the original song’s enduring chorus) peaked at No. 10 on the Hot 100 chart in May 2010.
Budde Alphaville/What a DJ/Warner Records’ new single “Forever Young” also enters the top 10 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, jumping from 13-10 to earn Greatest Gainer honors. Guetta and Max both finished in the top ten for the second time, while the track marked Alphaville’s first overall appearance.
