One of the worst habits of Days of Our Lives is having characters constantly jump from one relationship to another.
Holly is young so she can get some forgiveness, but it happens too much.
At least Holly knows better than to jump into bed (yes, I’m looking at all you New Year’s couples), but Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 1/6/25 suggest she’ll be involved with The Wrong One… Probably because of the lies and half-truths.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 6/1/25 say Holly begins to fall in love with Doug III after Sofia update
Holly may decide she can’t be with Tate because of the baby’s condition.
This situation is one of the reasons why what they did behind the scenes with Arianne Zucker is such a shame.
Nicole encountered this situation shortly before leaving town. She was with EJ when she first found out she was pregnant and knew there was a chance her baby would be Eric’s.
While the transition of children complicates things, for a while she had been trying to address the possibility of raising a child with Eric while marrying EJ, similar to what Tate might have to do because of Sophia The mother did not allow Sophia to have an abortion.
So Nicole is the logical person to turn to, but since she’s not in Salem, that may not happen.
Instead, Holly will seek solace in Doug III, which is code for sad sex in Salem. For her part, she might not have sex with him—that would be a terrible way to lose her virginity—but she might get closer to him emotionally.
The big question here is whether Sofia will tell Holly the truth, rather than a polished version that makes her marriage to Tate sound like a done deal.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 6/1/24 say Brady and Tate will stick to their decision on the matter.
This sounds a lot like Brady’s adamant statement that Tate will never marry Sofia’s mother regardless of her wishes.
But Sophia is far from the chaste, good Christian girl her mother thought she was. She’s a schemer who will do whatever it takes to get Holly out of trouble so she can be with Tate.
We’re not even sure the baby is his. Sofia reeks of Jane Spears, and regardless of whether Tate is the father or not, Sofia wants him to dump Holly and be with her for the baby.
She probably had no plans to get married at 17.
This was her mother’s ridiculous idea.
Still, Sofia doesn’t object too strongly if it ties Tate to her, and she’s not above twisting the truth to ensure Holly gives up her relationship with Tate.
Holly is supposed to be smart enough not to do anything until she gets confirmation from Tate about what’s going on, but Days of Our Lives has a habit of dumbing down characters when it suits the plot.
Doug III is under pressure to confess, but will he?
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 6/1/24 have Doug III debating admitting that he stole Alice’s necklace from the time capsule so he could sell it to pay off his debt.
Knowing this soap the way I do, I doubt he’s doing more than thinking.
We just had Johnny and Chanel’s relationship fall apart thanks to Johnny’s lies and half-hearted attempts to confess, and now we may be going down the same path with Doug III and Holly.
Holly has a tangential connection to the Horton family through Maggie and the father she never knew, but she’ll still thrive from it when the time comes.
That would likely put her back in Tate’s arms, but it might be at least a few months, if not half a year, before anything like that happens.
It all depends on what the new writing team decides to do, and their material will begin airing in April, though Doug III will still have three months to dance around the secret before anything happens.
Julie gets comfort from Doug III and Chad (not at the same time)
Jolie’s storyline is the most authentic Days of Our Lives has had in a while, probably because it mirrors Susan Seaforth Hayes’ real-life grief.
She and Bill Hayes were married in real life, so Jolie’s heartbreak over Doug’s death was a fitting tribute to the character and the man who played him.
The redeeming value of Doug III is that he genuinely cares about Julie and wants to comfort her over the death of her grandfather. I hope that when the truth comes out, Julie will remember that she too was once a teenage thief and be more tolerant than I thought.
Chad will also be back, and I’m looking forward to his scenes with Julie, although I suspect his return is for him to fall in love with Kate (aka Fake Abigail) once she returns to Vancouver.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of June 1, 2025, hint at an epic confrontation between Chanel and Joey
I don’t know who to root for in this Chanel/Joy mess.
Joy brings a married man to her hotel room and she would have had sex with him if he hadn’t stopped her at the last minute and accepted Chanel’s friendship.
Still, she didn’t know at the time that Johnny was married to Chanel, and that he made the mistake of flirting with another woman and almost going all the way with her, just because he thought his wife was cheating on him.
Even if he was right about Chanel, which he isn’t, that doesn’t mean cheating is okay. Two wrongs don’t make a right, and his jealousy of Chanel and Alex’s on-screen romance is no excuse.
Joey is old enough to understand the situation better, but young enough to prioritize job security and wanting to maintain his friendship with Chanel over telling the truth.
I don’t know how Chanel would have reacted if Joey had told Chanel from the beginning what her husband was doing, but it might have shown that Joey at least wanted to be a good friend.
I don’t blame Joy for wanting to protect her newfound friendship with Chanel, though.
She didn’t know many people in Salem, but Chanel was very nice to her.
When Chanel faces Joey, she transforms into a mini-Paulina, which should be epic.
Whatever she says will upset Joey, who will turn to Alex for comfort again, which means they might end up having sex… while Stephanie secretly misses Alex.
EJ teams up with (real) Rafe
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 6/1/25 predict an unusual twist for this ridiculous fake Raph storyline.
EJ is so eager to get rid of the fake Rafe that he reluctantly forms an alliance with the real Rafe, who is currently locked away in Dimera’s wine cellar.
This is a story that only happens in Salem. I don’t like these silly doppelgänger stories, so I hope this ends soon!
