Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 4/11/24, some of John Blake’s relatives come to Salem to celebrate his and Marlena’s anniversary.
Sadly, Derek Hogestyn was too ill to work while filming these scenes, so these returns will be a painful reminder that we will never get to see John’s moments on screen again.

Days of Our Lives will turn 59 on November 8, which the writers also marked as the anniversary of John and Marlena’s last wedding.
(Like most people in Salem, the couple had several weddings. I think the final number was five.)
Obviously, this is to celebrate a happy occasion. Drake Hogestyn’s death didn’t go unnoticed, but pancreatic cancer had other plans.
To celebrate the big day, Bella and Paul will return to Salem.
Paul was there a while ago, but Belle has been gone for a while, so it was great to catch up with her. Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 11/4/24 don’t mention Sean, who may still be in rehab, but I guess we’ll find out.
These scenes will feel strange due to John’s absence. How do you celebrate a wedding anniversary without both sides of the happy couple?
Drake’s illness forces him to stop working, and John’s absence is felt deeply, making the story bittersweet.
At least we can celebrate his and Marlena’s love again.

It doesn’t help that this is just the beginning of the end for Doug.
Bill Hayes died in January 2024 at the age of 98, but because Days of Our Lives was taped so early in the season, the soap opera didn’t begin writing his iconic character until now.

I’m not sure what this means. Hayes was last seen in July, so Doug’s death will occur off-screen, similar to what happened when Frances Reed died while Alice was dying “upstairs.”
Even if we didn’t have John’s death, I couldn’t stop crying about it.
Doug and Julie remind me of my grandparents and they are my favorite couple, period.
My heart breaks for Susan Seavers Hayes, too, who had to lose her beloved husband twice because Doug’s death came long after Bill Hayes’ death happened in real life Photographed.
At least this iconic character will get the send-off he deserves, but man, it’s hard when a character has to be written out because an actor dies.
It’s one of those things about soap operas that people sometimes don’t realize.
When you watch an actor play a character for years, they feel like family in a way, and when they die it’s heartbreaking for the fans as well as the people who loved them in real life .
Luckily, Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 11/4/24 promise that all this sadness will be offset by more standard storylines, including a love triangle and possible romance.
Holly’s desire for a fresh start puts Tate in trouble
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 4/11/24 put Tate and Johnny in a similar situation. They sleep with someone else, and then all of a sudden, things change with that person they thought was over.
In Tate’s case, though, he’s not married yet and is still a teenager, so it’s more forgivable, even if his cavorting with Sophia in a haystack seems contrived.
He keeps putting off sex with Holly because he wants their first time to be special and not go too fast, so why does he suddenly turn into a guy who can’t when a woman wants to have sex with him? What about people who resist sex?
I hate the stilted sex on Days of Our Lives. I also don’t like the idea that men suddenly can’t resist sex, even if they’ve been doing it for months.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 4/11/24 say Tate will be surprised by Holly’s request, which I guess is understandable.
Still, just days ago Sofia stormed off because she didn’t want to be a placeholder until Tate reconciled with Holly, so he should be aware of that as a possibility.

DiMera, the youngest, on the other hand, made no excuses for her behavior.
He was furious with DiMera because he believed Chanel’s affair was based on the stupidest misunderstanding.
Not only did he throw a glass at the wall, he also pretended to be working and actually went to a bar to drink away his sorrows… but ended up sleeping with a stranger.
This was especially annoying because I had been waiting years to cast Joey Wesley on Days of Our Lives.
Joy disappeared from Salem as an infant, leaving her almost a blank slate, but she also had a great backstory for a soap opera character: She was born as a bone marrow donor to her 16-year-old sister. Being conceived, she was also named after her parents were glad it worked.
As such, Joy is supposed to be a troubled young woman whose mental health issues stem from her belief that her parents don’t really want her and only see her as a means to save Chloe’s life.
Joey and Nancy (who is probably gone) had a little thing going on.
Now, however, Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 4/11/24 throw her into this silly story as another woman who could become Chanel’s best friend until the truth comes out.
Couldn’t the writers come up with any other reason to bring this long-awaited character back to Salem other than this?

Brady will spend time with his two children this week.
He’s not my favorite character, but I was completely immersed in this redemption story as he bonds with Rachel and helps Tate decide what to do with this teenage love triangle.
We need more parents mentoring their children in Salem. Half the problem is that these kids are left to their own devices.
Where was Brady when Tate was in his bedroom with Sophia?
It would be better if Brady stayed sober, although I don’t believe he would stay away from Ava.
For at least ten years, he had been stuck in an endless cycle of dating the wrong women, then declaring that he never wanted to see them again when they completely ruined his life.
I hope Brady breaks the mold, but Days of Our Lives Diaz spoilers for the week of 4/11/24 don’t give me much hope.
Confronting Christine about her latest dirty tricks (probably Titans or something) would be a good start, but if he doesn’t stay away from Ava, he’s just exchanging his drunken behavior for the past that hurt his family Women’s addiction.
Ava serves as a surrogate mother to Sophia, who clearly hates her biological mother and avoids her as much as possible.
So what are the chances that Brady won’t cross paths with Ava again and again until they finally kiss?
Vivian VS. Kate is the best part of the latest Titan War story
I didn’t like the struggle surrounding control of the Titans/DiMera, and I wasn’t happy that Xander was going back to the idea of killing people to achieve an end.
The premise is also silly. A letter from Victor said he was sorry for not including Philip in his will, which he would have done under different circumstances, but that in no way made Philip the legal heir to anything.
Still, Louise Sorel’s performance as Vivian makes these tall tales worthwhile. She’s long been my favorite Days of Our Lives villain because she delivers evil with humor, grace, and charm.
She and Kate hate each other, so their latest confrontation will be pure fun.
I don’t quite understand why Philip, who normally can’t stand Vivian, is suddenly devoted to her, nor why he ditched her because Chloe said so (if he did. That’s a bit ambiguous.)
But Vivian has her own version of Dr. Rolf.
Maybe Dr. Wu can make a serum for Sarah and only give it to her if Xander cancels his deal with Christine.
It would be a lot of fun to beat Kristen at her own game, and having Vivian involved would make things even better, so I hope that’s what happens, even though there’s no “Ours” the week of 11/4/24 Days” spoilers for that promise.
Chad, please stop being stupid.
It’s bad enough that Clyde somehow escaped from a high-security prison while being transported to court.
But only in Salem would those who had been tricked by Clyde into thinking his dead wife was still alive would have thought it was a good idea to hear what Clyde had to say next!
According to Days of Our Lives spoilers, the week of 4/11/24, Clyde will call Chad from where he is hiding out asking for help.
Chad would probably do the same. ah.
The story should have ended with fake Abigail in jail and Clyde defeated again, rather than continuing on.
