Charlie Puth is getting into the holiday spirit, and to celebrate, he released a new holiday song, “December 25th,” on Thursday (November 7).
“December 25th is the day I miss you the most/Because of the music and lights, it reminds me of a night/you told me you had to leave/December 25th is always the day that touches me the most/still no goodbye/ So I’d rather stay inside/spend Christmas here alone,” he sings in this melancholy song with an ’80s feel.
The Grammy-nominated artist shared in a press statement: “I wrote and recorded ‘December 25th’ entirely on a whim a few weeks ago while I was in the studio working on my new album, and even though it sounds Not like anything on the album at all, I thought why not share it for the holidays so here it goes.
Despite the heartbreak of the song, Puth has a lot of joy in his life this holiday season — and he’s certainly not spending it alone. The 32-year-old star tied the knot with Brooke Thornthorne on September 7 at Puth’s home in Montecito, California. State grew up — and they paid tribute by reportedly using Bruce Springsteen’s “Jersey Girl” as their first dance song Fashion. After one year and three months together, Puth flew from Los Angeles to New York and proposed to Sansone on September 5, 2023, at 11:11 pm.
