You didn’t think Found would stop in the new year, did you?
If you believed Discovery Season 2 Episode 9 would ease us back into the world of Gabi Mosely and co, you’d be foolish.
So much happens suddenly in this hour that it almost makes our heads spin, with M&A’s most loyal soldiers fighting for their lives, Trent’s fate shocking and unknown, and leaving more questions than answers about Mr.
Where do we begin this dynamic moment?
Continuing from Discovery Season 2 Episode 8, Gabi and Sir engage in a tense confrontation that ends with an attack on Gabi by a mysterious man.
Sir hadn’t expected Gabby to show up at school and had been waiting for the heavy boots. But their reunion wasn’t the most shocking part of the interaction.
Sir was always a pretentious narcissist who believed he was the smartest and scariest person in the room. However, there’s someone he’s working with that scares him so much that the prospect is both fascinating and terrifying.
If the husband is under the control of others, why is this happening? How did they get him in the first place? He was really worried about what Gabby and the people there were going to do to her, and they snuck up behind her and knocked her unconscious.
This isn’t the first time someone has worked alongside Mister in one of his many conflicts, but now we have to wonder who that person is.
It’s easy to think that our newest acquaintance might be responsible. After all, is this really Christianity? So far, it seems too obvious. And Christian is more afraid of Sir than the other way around.
Enter Heather Tollins, the sexy and mysterious criminal defense attorney who turns Trent’s head and warms his bed.
When we spoke to the incredibly sweet and insightful Danielle Safer about her new role, she revealed many of the mysteries. She also hasn’t confirmed or denied the many theories that have permeated her relationship with Jazz.
Is Heather targeting Trent, does she have an ulterior motive?
God bless him; he’ll be an easy one to hunt down, especially since he’s been licking his wounds for Gabi falling off the pedestal he’s been placed on.
Heather’s job is interesting because she’s a criminal defense attorney, but she’s also proven to be a quick study when it comes to reading people, at least from the little we’ve seen of her so far (pun intended) It seems so.
Sure, we’ll probably see more of her and cross paths with Trent more often, both at work and play, but maybe Mosley and co will too.
She seems like a strong but humble woman, and we know new characters are usually the most questionable, so could she work with Sir in some capacity?
Many of the key figures in his life shrouded in uncertainty and mystery are women, whether it’s the true story behind the other girl he took before Gabi or his sister.
The timeline is also intentionally vague.
Did Gabby meet with Sir at night and get knocked unconscious and wake up the next morning, or did it happen in the morning, maybe Heather stopped there instead of heading to the courthouse (no bra, mind you, bold choice , woman) for work?
We know Heather will be sharing the screen with a number of characters.
So the possibility of her teaming up with Sir is huge and I’m enthusiastic about the idea, with Danielle Savile once again on my screen since the frustrating cancellation of Station 19.
Having information on a serial missing child from years ago that linked Trent’s father, Jazz confirms that he knows what happened to Margaret’s son and is willing to give up that information for Gabi’s safety.
I know what happened to Margaret’s son. Now get out there and I’ll tell you.
– gentlemen
He also reiterates that his only purpose these days is to help make sure Gabi’s team is functioning and happy without her, because he knows she can’t leave with him unless she knows they’re all okay.
The gentleman is surprisingly serious about all of this.
Ironically, this makes him feel like less of an imminent threat to the people he works with, which is a shocking turn of events since the first episode of Discovery Season 2, where we learned he planned to poison everyone Someone close to Gabby and took Lacey away.
Still, no one has a point in accusing a sociopath, right?
The breaking news about Trent’s father was huge, and now it brings up another big mystery, about this seemingly shady cop that most of us didn’t get the best vibes at first.
Trent seems to deny this.
However, once he understands this, he may realize that his father is capable of anything, and sadly, covering up the disappearance of multiple children that year, including young Lawrence Johnson, is also part of that.
He’s the only kid the Jazz have been keeping an eye on, so he might be the one they actually find before the season is over.
Still, the news may have exacerbated an already existing divide between Trent and Gabby.
As we left, shots were fired, but it is doubtful whether Trent was shot, especially since that honor belongs to my dear Dan. But we’ll talk about that.
Trent goes back and forth between being annoying and his past self. He’s scared when he spots Gabby, but then he pulls her in without hesitation and makes more empty threats to her.
However, he also returned Zeke’s technology, probably understanding that it was the best way to keep Gabi and her baby safe. He might actually take Jazz’s advice and drop the case against Gabi. But he could also be using this as more “evidence” that Gabi was somehow in cahoots with her tormentors.
Trent’s relationship with Ian is challenging because of the man he needs to protect, but telling Gabi the truth will save some of the headaches and risks.
Ian’s case is more of a plot-driven case, providing great character moments and exploration for everyone we love.
Dan still struggles to control his judgment of substance abusers, but he and his understanding have changed. This makes him a major asset to the case.
He identifies strongly with Ian and wants to be a good person for his spouse and do the right thing for that person, which seems to be what touches him the most about this case.
Dan also did a great job at the press conference. He doesn’t bother ditching his usual attire, keeping it real with everyone, and telling them honestly how he knows how they feel about drug addicts.
One of his most poignant lines is his assertion that even addicts deserve to be loved and found.
Ian doesn’t even have to be perfect or sane to be loved or discovered. None of us know.
– all
The case caused him to reflect on his broken relationship with Ethan, who seemed to be making some progress even though Ethan had moved out of the apartment and found his own place.
Unfortunately, I didn’t know if Ethan would be content until Dan gave up on Gabby and company, which remains one of my biggest gripes with the character.
Ethan made sacrifices in his career because he essentially fell in love with a patient, changing the trajectory of everything for him. However, love is the reward for risking his job.
It’s okay if he wants to, but he seems to expect Dhan to do the same thing, which is unfair and resentful and one of the many things about Ethan that makes me uncomfortable.
His focus on Gabby and blaming her for everything that went wrong in his and Dan’s lives was surreal, bordering on insanity, for a professional.
Ethan seems to resent Gabby for being Dan’s “person” and for having such a deep, multi-layered, unshakable connection between the two that outsiders might not understand.
When Dan said they had found a new case, Ethan’s attitude completely changed. It would be easy for him to blame and hide behind Gabi now, but if she did leave and Lacey, Margaret, or hell, even Dhan took over, would Ethan still have problems?
After the courthouse shooting, my heart and jaw dropped when we realized it was Dan who had been shot. I’ve let it be known that he’s my favorite character and one of the funniest, and I love the Gabby/Dan dynamic.
It might be a hair-trigger situation, but Dan is a fighter, so I’m sure he’ll be fine. I can’t imagine the series losing him because he was the most loyal person in the M&A and their protector.
I’m curious how they rallied around him after this. But worryingly, Ethan used this tragic and shocking moment to lash out at Gabi and drive her away.
What I hate most is when someone’s spouse comes into the picture with the expectation that they should be everything to someone and raises questions about all the important people and valuable relationships that existed early in a person’s life .
Ethan calls Gabi “getting in the way” of their entire relationship, which is annoying and immature.
What I really need right now is some space and time away from you. I have to share every moment of our relationship with you, and if these are our last moments, then please let me have this.
— Ethan
Dhan and Gabi bonded before Dhan and Ethan got married. Maybe Ethan should spend more time understanding who and what Gabi represents to Dan and working within that framework instead of trying to stop it.
Gabby and Dan are definitely co-dependent, and Dan remains a mystery.
However, we know that Gabi essentially “saved” him. To Gabby, Dan was the only vulnerable person around her, sometimes even more so than when she was with Lacey.
Trying to dissect or interfere with this connection does no one any good. They seemed crucial to each other’s recovery and stability.
There’s no denying that Dan’s shooting and the inability to be with him drove Gabby to the brink of alcoholism, and it was probably the final thing that led to her breakdown.
They are like family, just like Gabby and Lacey. It will be interesting to see how Gabby moves forward after potentially losing her “people.”
Meanwhile, if anyone is asking who is the light and future of M&A, it’s Lacey, and this is her season. Gabrielle Walsh is phenomenal.
Lacey is the glue that holds everyone together.
We saw that in so many little ways throughout the hour. She got along really well with Erin and gave Dan all the support and support he deserved, encouraging him and getting him out of his comfort zone.
I’m no Gabby Mosley, but I promise you, we care and we will find Ian.
— Lacey
Her antics to keep Zeke happy are just as hilarious and endearing as her determination to crack the bug for him. When she bursts into the interrogation room and yells at Trent for following Gabi, she’s a little ball of righteousness and bad temper.
It’s great to hear she’s going back to school as it’s the most enthusiastic she’s been in a while. Lacey is a great character and the best aspect of this season is learning about her background through flashbacks.
Jasmine Washington is a talented young lady. I’m often impressed by her ability to play challenging non-verbal roles.
Bella’s fears are always palpable, and it’s refreshing to recognize that a person’s recovery process is slow and there aren’t any quick fixes. It’s been months since Bella and Gabby ran away, but she’s still struggling.
I’m glad we met her father for the first time, it’s heartbreaking that her fear of men causes him to take longer trucking missions to give Bella the space she needs.
You can tell with everything about him that he just wants to be connected to his baby girl again, and it’s painful for him, not only because she’s in so much pain, but because he’s triggered her so intensely.
The final flashback in which Bella hands him the photo she took, apologizes, and says she’s going to miss him made me feel all the feelings I pretended I didn’t have.
Flashbacks continue to be a revealing aspect of the series, especially this season.
Over to you, Found Fanatics.
What were your first impressions and theories about Heather? How shocked (and shocked) are you by Dhan’s shooting? Let’s listen to it together!
