ABC Pilot Program Dr. Odyssey possible Just wanted to pay homage to the 1970s/80s fashion shows this love boat. If that’s the case, this con artist imposter is almost impossible to do bad. It’s like this weird love letter to old CBS, written from Doc’s perspective. *Good old Bernie Koppel plays Dr. Brick, with a timeless sense of humor and vague puns.
Or worse: artificial intelligence.
This contrived and silly cruise show misses the mark. One must ask this question. Has Disney-owned ABC decided to continue with their thinly veiled advertising of cruise ships? Start with Hulu’s (also a Disney company).
Does Disney have contracts with cruise lines? Were they trying to make do with “existing” locations? Were the actual ships on board, the interiors shot on a soundstage?

The captain hired a man with excellent medical records, but he seemed overqualified for the job. The pandemic is also part of his backstory. Their maiden voyage involved many trials and tribulations. Including a burgeoning romance between a newly minted doctor and a nurse practitioner.

Joshua Jackson plays Dr. Max: a highly capable medical wizard who is looking for a way to change his life. He is a potential lover of:
Philippa Sue is Avery. Practical nurse and unrequited love partner:
Sean Teale plays Tristan. Male nurse, slightly irritating and overly competitive male.

Don Johnson plays Captain Robert Macy. A handsome captain wearing white shoes and no socks. he obviously knows everything About the sea. *He is also apparently a puppet used by the internet to attract older people. Johnson only had a weak performance in the first two episodes. He clearly realizes what stink is Dr. Odyssey Released on bail.

Ryan Murphy: He gave us Glee, American Horror Story and Nip/Tuck. Murphy wrote three episodes. Logically speaking, we cannot blame him for the excesses of this mess.
Joe Buchan: Creator of Grotesquerie (2024). Like Murphy, he only contributed three episodes.
Jon Robin Bates: Creator feud (An anthology of sorts.) There are three episodes listed.
It seemed like they had to split the score.
What’s not listed is the artificial intelligence in front of you. It has to be there, this show is too bad to be the product of human incompetence.

Dr. Odyssey Lacks the cheesiness of the original shipside antics. There is no cruise game director or chief purser.
However.
This will be difficult. Can they give us triple medical questions every week? Over 13 episodes to deal with a new set of diseases. Dr. Odyssey Facing an uphill climb. The show apparently has no more than four episodes per season.
Vague respects, hints, etc. love boat Makes me wait for the old “The Lo-ove Boat” song to play. This is complete plagiarism. Whether celebrities are included to boost ratings remains to be seen.

Personally, as a performer, I love this guy. I first saw him in Wes Craven’s libel horror film cursed. I loved his performance in Fringe. Although he is not a main player, he is enough in Sky.
Clearly, like the character he plays, he’s overqualified here.
Sorry Joshua. I still like you, man, even though my respect has declined.

I give this scumbag 0 out of 5 stars. Throw it away before you pick it up. mediocre and boring; Dr. Odyssey This shows how little its creators appreciate their audience. It airs on ABC and Hulu.
