In this day and age, it’s rare to read any good news in the newspapers – but Doechii has some good news for you before the day is over.
The fast-rising rap star shared a video on her Instagram on Thursday (December 26) teasing the release of the fan-favorite song “Denial Is a River” from her Grammy-nominated mixtape new music video Alligator bites never heal. In new trailer, Doechii performs the iconic intro of the beloved ’90s sitcom family affairs – including its theme song “As Days Go By” – introduces a star-studded cameo to the new project.
Throughout the clip, Doechii and her cast members strike iconic sitcom intro poses as the rapper introduces the cast of Denial Is a River Show to the audience, including Baby Tate, Schoolboy Q, SiR, Teezo Touchdown, Ricky Thompson, DJ Miss Milan and Earl Sweatshirt (shown only as “Brad Pitt” in the clip). Doechii’s new “show” will premiere on Thursday, January 2, according to her caption.
Fans were excited to see Doechii’s new video, and some celebrity stars took time to hype the “Nissan Altima” rapper in the comments section of her Instagram post. Hayley Williams, Willow Smith, Fan Xiong rescues soldiers Tan France and many more commented under the post to share their excitement for the new clip. “Oh I’m SATTT,” SZA wrote under the post, while GloRilla simply called the trailer “Hardddddd.”
