City center-owned B2B distributor FUGA has formed a new partnership with Australian-born UNIFIED Music Group, which operates in Melbourne, Sydney, Los Angeles, New York, Nashville and Toronto.
FUGA said on Thursday (October 10) that the transaction will provide strategic marketing support, global technology platform usage rights, physical distribution and neighboring rights services to UNIFIED Music Group’s record companies.
Agreements include UNIFIED Records UNFD (Silverstein, Thornhill and ERRA) and Domestic La La (Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Dear Seattle, Teenage Joans), as well as future releases of Community Music (Ocean Alley, Sarah Saint James, ISHAN).
UNIFIED is already an existing client of the royalty accounting platform owned by Downtown curvethrough a partnership starting in January 2022.
Downtown added that the partnership will give UNIFIED access to a broader global ecosystem through additional services, including sync and licensing solutions through Downtown Music Publishing, and neighboring rights collection through Downtown Neighboring Rights .
FUGA noted on Thursday that the partnership follows a string of notable recent successes in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
