Duran Duran pays tribute to ‘creative superheroes’

Duran Duran pays tribute to the late American filmmaker David Lynch, whose brilliant and bizarre films provided an inspirational foundation for a young Nick Rhodes.

Duran Duran has a special connection with the director, who died in battle due to health issues. Although Lynch has never won a competitive Oscar, he was awarded the Oscar for Lifetime Achievement in 2019.

Thanks in part to Lynch’s inspiration, Rhodes began pursuing the art of photography at a young age, exhibiting a portfolio of his work and publishing several books about his work. “Sadly,” Rhodes wrote, “the weather in California today is stormy and there are no lucky numbers.”
