Peacock and Sky announced Eddie RedmayneAssassin Thriller Series Day of the Jackal There will be a second season.
The news comes a little over a week after the show premieres, and it sounds like the ratings are going very well. Day of the Jackal Ranked No. 1 among Peacock’s 10 most-watched films of the week and ranked among the top five streaming originals in the U.S. during its opening weekend.
This series is based on Frederick Forsyth In the novel, in the story: “After his latest killing, he meets a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lashana Lynch) he embarks on a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe in pursuit of the jackal, leaving destruction in his wake.
The series is described as “a bold, modern reimagining of the beloved and revered novels and films. While staying true to the DNA of the originals, this contemporary drama will delve deeper into the lives of the chameleons, as the characters at the heart of the story “Anti-Heroes” alike, in a high-octane, cinematic, globe-trotting “Tom and Jerry” thriller set amidst the tumultuous geopolitical landscape of our time.
I’ve only watched the first episode so far, but it looks like it’s going to be a great show! It won me over and I was on board.
