Elvis Costello plans to delve deeper into his back catalog on his upcoming tour, focusing on his early material for the newly announced Radio Soul! travel.
The tour began in Seattle, Washington on June 12 and lasted for 17 shows before ending in Miami Beach, Florida on July 12. The tour title was taken from the early days of Costello’s 1974 “Radio Radio” Version. Originally inspired by Bruce Springsteen, the final version was released in 1978 This year’s model It has since been considered one of Costello’s finest works.

Costello will be on tour with the Imposters, which includes Steve Neave, Pete Thomas, David Farage and guitarist Charlie Sexton.

“If there’s an encore and we play ‘Bye Alright,’ that could mean that some of these ‘early songs’ will be performed in your city for the last time,” Costello concluded. “I don’t want to go back, I want to bring these songs into the present again in case they get pushed aside by the next song I write.
