Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) will honor Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer) and India’s Aamir Khan (wrestler) at the opening ceremony of the fourth edition later this week in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The festival, which runs from December 5 to 14, said the stars were selected “in recognition of their distinguished careers and lasting impact on the film industry”.
The previously announced winner of the 2024 Red Sea Prize is Viola Davis (female king, fence) and Mona Zaki of Egypt (perfect stranger).
Blunt and Khan will also join the festival’s “Talk to People” lineup of speakers, inviting guests from around the world to share insights into their careers, practices and passions.
“I am extremely excited to be participating in the Red Sea Film Festival and delighted to be one of this year’s winners,” said Blunt. “I love what this festival does for innovative and emerging talent in the film industry. I’m especially excited about how they empower women in the film industry and amplify their voices.
Khan said: “Film has been my life’s passion and I am truly humbled to be among such an inspiring community of artists from around the world. I am extremely honored to be recognized by the Red Sea International Film Festival as it celebrates The impact and magic of film. I look forward to sharing my experiences, learning from others, and celebrating the art of storytelling that unites us all.
