Eminem and Kid Rock, both from Detroit, have been outspoken when it comes to American politics over the years. The two musicians are on different ends of the political spectrum, but one thing they can agree on is that it can be a good thing for celebrities to speak their minds (depending on what’s being said, because Kid Rock is annoying).
Regardless, Kid Rock recently posted a video on Instagram in which he shouts out his fellow Detroiters and Taylor Swift while strumming an acoustic guitar. “Now that I have your attention, let me tell you, I love Eminem and we’ve been friends for years,” he said after strumming his guitar. “I don’t agree with his political views, but I do commend him and people like Taylor Swift for standing up and not being afraid to speak out for what they believe in.”
He added: “Thinking differently and having the freedom to do so is what makes this country great. My stance is unequivocally ‘Make America Great Again’ because I know Trump in my mind, body and soul.” The President will make America great again. God bless America.
Eminem heard his friend’s name and responded on
Eminem recently introduced former President Barack Obama at a rally in his hometown of Detroit, where the former commander-in-chief performed a portion of Eminem’s hit record “Lose Yourself.”
Slim Shady essentially echoes the vocalization that Kid Rock mentioned. “I’m here tonight for a few important reasons,” the legendary rapper told the audience. “As most of you know, the city of Detroit and the entire state of Michigan means a lot to me. Going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever, and I think it’s important to make my voice heard, so I encourage everyone to get out and vote. “I also think people shouldn’t be afraid to express their opinions,” Aim continued, “and I don’t think anyone wants an America where people fear retaliation or worry about what people will do if you express your opinion. ”
