Loyal Engenes, fans of K-pop band Enhypen, now know what they’ll be doing this November.
Fan made by: EnhypenA documentary about K-pop star Enhypen and her fans will be released in select AMC theaters on November 8 – and hollywood reporter There’s the first trailer.
The film follows the parallel journey between the team and Nginis. According to a press release, it will showcase Enhypen’s performances on a U.S. arena tour in preparation for the Samsung Galaxy Fanmade concert, where five female fans come together to create a unique experience for the band and fans.
“It’s just about community,” one fan says in the trailer, which shows fans gathering together. “I think everybody wants community.”
The project hails from Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine (from Candle Media) and Good-People (from Candle Media’s new production banner) Trainwreck: Woodstock ’99 Filmmakers William Swann and Kathy Feldman. Caroline Suh, the person behind K-pop Ph.D. Blackpink: Light up the sky,produce.
The documentary will include behind-the-scenes footage, interviews and performances of the seven-member boy group consisting of members Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo and Ni-ki.
Fan made by: Enhypen Also included is the band’s original song “HOME,” which was released last week. Last May, Nginis surprised the band with the song at the Samsung Galaxy Fanmade concert, stopping the concert to sing the song to the band. Enhypen then recorded the song, which was produced by Rob Grimaldi and co-written by Grimaldi and Ryan Curtis, as a gift back to their fans.
Enhypen originated from the Korean entertainment company Belift Lab (a subsidiary of the entertainment group Hybe) and was formed through the music survival series Grande. The drama is a joint venture between Hybe and South Korean entertainment giant CJ ENM. It is broadcast on Mnet, a channel owned by South Korea’s CJ ENM.
The band released its second full-length album in July, Romance: Unknownthe band achieved its highest ranking on the Billboard 200 chart, debuting at No. 2.
