2024 korean horror movies Exumashows us how to bury our deceased loved ones in a Feng Shui way. However, space is at a premium in the country and not everyone can afford the “perfect” place to rest. This means those with more money than morals have an ever-dwindling number of places to rest their heads.
story
The excavation trade is good. Feng shui masters and Buddhist monks help people who have recently been bereaved, or those who have not been recently bereaved. There are two ghosts at the beginning of the film. An old woman’s soul has been starving since her grandson stole her dentures. Another family has a ghost targeting their eldest son. The health of the newborn is at stake.
noun: Feng Shui
- 1. The art of placing or arranging a building or other place in an auspicious manner.
- 2. Divination based on the shape of a handful of soil thrown on the ground or by interpreting lines or textures on the ground.
- Also known as Feng Shui.
Feng shui masters and Buddhists joined forces to help the latter. As one character points out, they are “very rich.” Exhuming the bodies is a top priority. Without this, the baby may die.
A little background
South Korea, like other Asian countries, has a rich and spiritual culture. Good and bad. Like the Japanese, Koreans believe that foxes are harbingers of mischief and evil. These creatures cannot be trusted.
Furthermore, like other Asian countries, South Korea believes that the afterlife is important. How we treat our deceased ancestors affects our daily lives. It makes perfect sense, therefore, that Feng Shui should be important when placing the remains of our ancestors in their final “homes.”
For those who don’t know, Feng Shui has been around since the 1980s, at least in the United States.
exist Exuma Feng shui is the order of divination of the life, resting place and divination of the deceased. Something rotted in the rich man’s cemetery. An ancient evil is unleashed during excavation.
Even foxes are afraid of this.
main actors
Choi Min-sik is Kim Sang-deok. Feng shui masters are extraordinary. *I have been a fan of the actor ever since quiet family (1998). His heartfelt hits include the iconic “Oldboy” and “I Saw the Devil.”
Kim Go Eun is Lee Hwa Rim.
Lee Do-hyun plays Yoon Bong Go-gil.
Liuhai Town is Gao Yinggen. A Christian who follows his innate cultural and Christian beliefs.
Hong Seo-joon is President Kim.
it works
Writer-director Jang Jae-hyun takes an atmospheric and unsettling look at burials, demons, cultural beliefs and the evil in the dirt. Exuma It’s not just feng shui, demons and gore.
It’s a wonderful build of suspense and fear. The ancient evil unleashed upon the world is impressive. So does the death toll. Many innocent and not-so-innocent victims were killed by the headless killer.
Korean movies have some of the best visceral blood effects in the world. Their fake blood and stunning visuals are top notch. The scene where Hualin dances with blood around his mouth is truly disturbing. Just as they are.
Exuma It’s K-Horror that surpasses it. No other Asian horror film can compare to this two-hour-plus epic.
judgment
Although I am right ExumaI can only give it a ranking of 4 stars. Even though the acting in this film is completely unbridled and shameless, I still had to watch it three times before I could understand the whole story.
*Although this is not necessarily a bad thing. I had to watch A Tale of Two Sisters over and over again and still had to rely on my daughter to fully understand it.
