In his first stadium headline show in his hometown, the Colombian superstar delivered a show filled with celebrity guest appearances, deep cuts and relentless energy.
It’s understandable that Feder was nervous or emotional during his first headlining concert at his hometown stadium in Medellín on Friday (December 6). Only a handful of local artists have headlined the Attanasio Giraldoto Stadium on their own.
For his part, Ferxxo spent years waiting for his big break, a moment that never seemed to come while fellow Medellin peers J Balvin, Karol G and Maluma became household names in Latin.
But tonight, in front of an audience of about 70,000, there will be no tearful reflections or nervous blunders. From the moment he emerged from the towering scaffolding in the center of the stadium, Ferxxo (real name: Salomón Villada Hoyos) was in his usual playful self, as producer Sky Rompiendo predicted backstage before the show That way.
“I bet he’s not nervous,” Sky (real name: Alejandro Ramirez Suarez) told advertising billboard. “He’s like an athlete. Like James of the Lakers. No matter what the stage is, he’s focused. I’m more emotional. [than he is]. We were 14 when we first started making music together. I have witnessed his struggle and growth over the years. This was a really big moment for him.
Skye was one of several artists to come out in support of Feder during the first of three concerts Feder performed at the stadium. Feid’s soon-to-be girlfriend Karol G shook hands backstage before the show, wearing a pink version of Feid’s signature black tank top, while reggaeton star Becky G played air hockey in the game room.
None of the three artists were on stage (at least not that night), but the FERXXOCALIPSIS Tour homecoming show wasn’t lacking in star power. Here are some highlights from the first night’s show.

famous faces
You knew Fede would have surprise guests. You would never imagine he would bring out so much. Miky Woodz and Juhn kicked off the celebrity parade while performing “Enemigos” with Feid. Next up was Macsaac, followed closely by Seh, whom Fede affectionately called “gordo” (fat guy) before correcting himself: “Ex-gordo” due to the Panamanian’s recent weight loss. Ryan Castro added a local flavor when he performed “Monastery” with Feid and won the sole “Otra!” Ultra! An ode to the night.
Arguably the biggest guest appearance on stage belonged to Rauw Alejandro, who performed his new duet “Revolú” with Feid live for the first time. But Yandel spent the most time on stage with Feid, performing songs from his joint album with Feid (including “Yandel 150”) as well as a medley of his classics. Finally, ATL Jacob had the honor of capping off the show, fireworks and more. He and Feder performed their song “Luna,” which the crowd was praying for until the end.

deep
Feder somewhat stuck to the same setlist he followed during the FERXXOCALIPSIS tour, starting with “Alakran” and “50 Palos” and ending with “Luna”. But he did produce some deep cuts like “Tengo Fe” and “Quiero” for his hometown audience. “Here I can sing some songs that I haven’t sung on tour because we’re in Medellín,” Feder told the audience. He later thanked fans, many of whom were wearing his favorite color: green, for letting him take a walk down memory lane.

stage complexity
The first thing you notice about the stage setting is its immense height and complexity. The building is a mixture of beams, platforms, stairs and a dozen screens of various sizes. Only when Feder is on your side of the stage can you clearly see him directly, which leads to some “Where’s Waldo?” feelings. Depends on where you sit at night. But it usually doesn’t take long before Feder and his white Oakleys reappear.

skip memes
Feid has become a meme on TikTok for his never-ending jumps around concert stages (Yandel says he brings special running shoes to keep up), but he rarely travels so much. Ferxxo spent much of the three-hour, 20-minute performance circling a giant scaffolding, rarely staying to one side of the stage for too long. I don’t know if Feid ate the quesadillas served in the backstage game room after the show, but if he did, he was definitely worth it.
