While most shows are gearing up for the fall midseason finale, Fire Nation continues to air due to a delayed start to its season.
Fire Nation Season 3 Episode 6 spoilers give us a sneak peek at the upcoming three-episode storyline that will continue and introduce the fire chief, played by the talented Jared Padalecki Camden Casey.
Fans and firefighters have mixed feelings about the newest addition to Bode’s impressionable life.
We saw everyone close to Bode try to keep a tight rein on him over the course of three seasons. We get it, given his record of reckless decision-making, this does land him in jail.
Not to mention that his narcissistic hero complex often puts him in dangerous situations, putting himself and others in danger.
Bode both does things his own way and adheres strictly to the procedural guidelines expected of Cal Fire.
Especially if you are doing fire training.
During Border’s first and second phases of training, he worked under the tutelage of Jack, who demanded strict obedience and was not allowed to engage in cowboy antics.
Bode is good at following rules and showing teamwork, and Jack says he can teach him. Although he told Camden in Fire Nation Season 3 Episode 5 that Baldur would have a hard time being captain.
During the third phase of training, Jack had a major conflict with Kathy’s approach to leading Bode.
Because while Jack and Bode’s parents wanted to keep Bode on a leash, Kathy wanted to see Bode break free and embrace his wild side.
It works in Camden. Why didn’t this work for his disciples?
In Fire Nation Season 3 Episode 6, Casey will continue to mentor Bode as he assists Station 42 and Three Rocks in dealing with fires at the Bird Sanctuary.
The team will be tasked with saving our country’s national symbol and its human guardians. Eagle sanctuary staff refused to leave with their birds. We expect this to be a volatile situation.
Fire Country continues to find new ways to explore the unique niche of having prison firefighters work alongside professional first responders to protect their communities. I can’t remember another show that had a rescue at a bird sanctuary.
Who doesn’t love the majestic look of a condor? If you’ve never seen one in real life, the sight of them in flight is sure to be awe-inspiring.
Now that we’re back in full-season mode, there’s plenty of room to explore more of our favorite supporting characters, like Eve. We met her brother in the last episode and it was a fun Walker reunion.
It’s so cool that Jared Padalecki’s Fire Nation debut is shared with his former “Walker” costar Jeff Pierre (Trey Bennett), Jeff Pierre Join Fire Nation as Elijah Edwards, Eve’s brother.
It’s interesting to see more of Eve’s story, but considering Elijah’s ultimatum at the end of his reunion with Eve, we’re not done yet.
They are good.
But now, if Eve wanted to be present at the birth of Elijah’s child, she had to reconcile with her parents. Hopefully the appeal of being Aunt Eve will inspire her to bridge the gap and take the first step toward reuniting with her parents.
Bode finally seems to be getting along well with his parents and life. He’ll start a new job as Smokey’s bartender and try to move out of his parents’ house.
He wanted to move in with Gabriella, but she blocked their relationship. She doesn’t mind calling him when she wants to get wild. If Bode had treated her the way she treated him, she would have read the Riot Act to him.
Bode develops an intense crush at a bar with fellow inmate Audrey James, and she and Vince take to the rooftop with their heartbreaking rendition of “Vice,” and we hope Gabriella is a thing of the past.
It’s like this song was written for Bode’s current situation.
When James (Leven Rambin) sings the praises of Miranda Lambert in a sexy way, everyone falls in love with her. I was instantly hooked and played the video on repeat. I’m obsessed!
Please let us see more from this duo in the future. Like every episode.
As Fire Nation goes to perfection, the episode ends on a cliffhanger with Gabriela calling Bode to come to the RV. But he didn’t answer. Maybe that’s a good sign of progress away from her.
Hopefully we won’t see him sneaking out of his parents’ RV again, where Gabriella has been holed up in self-loathing.
Just say no!
In a promo for Fire Nation Season 3 Episode 6, Casey gives Bode some strong advice, but no one will like it when he says it. Sharon and Jack already hated him. Eve and Vince haven’t weighed in yet.
He certainly wouldn’t be at the top of Gabriella’s list after he handed it directly to Bode.
Captain Casey bluntly blamed Bode for his lack of concentration. If he wants to be the best, he has to eliminate all distractions.
This got Bode thinking hard and sparked an important conversation with Gabriella. Let’s hope he’s the one who finally settles things down and stops sleeping with her. If Manny can’t contact him, hopefully Camden can.
In Fire Nation Season 3, we saw that Bode was willing to sacrifice his career and future to satisfy Gabriella’s needs.
He removes a patient’s medical alert necklace to cover up Gabriella’s mistake, a move that Jack discovers nearly cost Bode and Gabriella their jobs.
If he wants to make the roster at Station 42 and fight fires with his family, he has to stop letting Good Time Bode come out to play. Having the love of your life in a tug-of-war with your emotions isn’t good for your headspace.
We also need to know more about Sharon’s health scare, which doctors say was all in her head. Is her stress showing symptoms, or is her doctor overlooking something?
Vince’s health issues have also been largely unmentioned lately, so there should be more questions soon, possibly before the show takes its fall break.
We have one more episode to look forward to, starring Camden Casey as a Phase 3 training officer. After the impact his presence made, it would be frustrating to have his character only appear on the show for three episodes.
I’m not usually looking forward to universe expansions, but I’m actually interested in Jared Padalecki’s potential spin-off Fire Nation: Surf. His character will play a big role.
Thankfully, we’ll be seeing a lot more of Deputy Sheriff Mickey Fox soon, setting the stage for our upcoming second Fire Nation spinoff, Sheriff Nation, set to launch in 2025.
We’ll also have to see where Jack’s life goes now that he’s no longer the sole caregiver for his fiancé’s daughter, Genevieve.
Hopefully he can move on and find love again after losing Kara.
Maybe he and Gabriella could get back together and have a second chance at living a happy life without Bode’s intrusion. Personally, I prefer this relationship.
Speaking of second chances, we also have more drama with Gabriella and childish anger towards her father. Despite his attempts to reconcile with her in Fire Nation Season 3 Episode 5, she still acts like a moody child.
What do you think of Fire Nation Season 3 going forward?
