During the three seasons that Fire Nation was on the air, it was a roller coaster ride of brilliant action scenes and sloppy relationships.
This Fire Nation Season 3 midseason transcript details everything that happened in the first half of the season, as well as what we can expect when the show returns from its hiatus.
The show has its moments of genius and its moments of garbage. After a weak second season filled with half-hearted storylines and soapy drama, it has to redeem itself. While things have improved in Fire Nation Season 3, we’re not out of the woods yet.
Fans are still hoping things will focus on firefighting rather than personal drama. Most of all, we hope to stop seeing the repetitive storylines that are turning the hit series into a weak soap opera full of messy relationship entanglements.
Best TV Series – Fire Nation Season 3 Episode 5
Although the third season is only halfway through, there are still several exciting episodes. The best so far is Fire Nation Season 3 Episode 5.
Jared Padalecki stars in the three-part feature as Cal Fire Captain Camden Casey, who heads to Edgewater for Phase 3 fire training.
How impressive it was to see Bode step in when he was about to get into a fight with Gabriella.
Of all the things the show did wrong, writing Padalecki’s opening scene as a long-haired man in a baseball jersey throwing flip-flops to a group of angry drunks was 100% correct.
It didn’t take long for Camden’s character to leave a bad impression on everyone – including the audience. But they couldn’t have done a better job of introducing his character and a possible Fire Nation: Surfside spinoff.
In addition to meeting Kathy, this episode also shows us the grand opening of Smokey’s Diner after Vince and Sharon purchase and fix it up.
It opens up exciting potential for Bode and Audrey as a couple, rather than Bode wasting his time on Gabriella.
Worst Episode – Fire Nation Season 3 Episode 1
The first episode of Fire Nation Season 3 is the worst yet, and for most fans, it’s a bad start. After Bode was released from prison, he tried to support the woman he loved in his plans to marry another man.
A helicopter crash in town saves Gabriella from calling off the wedding in front of everyone, but Diego can tell she won’t do it.
We slog through an awkward hour as a love triangle struggles to save an injured helicopter pilot. While Diego is the voice of reason, trying to save Gabriella from herself, Bode supports her with blind faith and zero qualms about breaking the rules.
Before he started using CFD, Bode had already risked his own career to save Gabriela’s. She messed up her job, and Bode stole from patients to cover up her mistake.
This move causes more drama between Bode and Jack, adding to an already strained friendship, as Jack must decide whether to cover the two or betray them. This was also the beginning of Gabriella’s downward spiral.
Overall, this was an off-season premiere, which may become a Fire Nation habit. The first episode of Fire Nation Season 2 was also hard to watch.
best storyline
The biggest development so far in Fire Nation Season 3 is the addition of Audrey James, the female version of Bode.
James, fresh out of Sanyan Prison Camp, tries to redeem himself by joining Cal Fire after serving his sentence. She’s been interested in keeping Bode on the straight and narrow, while he’s hell-bent on giving up on his own career opportunities.
Audrey doesn’t just make friends with Bode. She clicked well with Cal Fire and the rest of Bode’s circle of friends. After all, she was just as smitten as they were when the eaglets hatched. A touching incident did not affect Gabriella.
Even the tough Sharon has a soft spot for James. She takes the young woman under her wing and teaches her what it feels like to be in control.
Maybe with a positive role model like Sharon, Audrey wouldn’t become a recidivist and end up in jail again.
Given Audrey and Bode’s chemistry, we expect their friendship to blossom into a romantic relationship in the second half of Fire Nation season 3. Jealous confrontations may occur.
However, if they made Gabriella and Audrey friends instead of enemies, the story would satisfy more fans.
worst episode
The worst episode of the season was Gabriella’s mental decline as she neared rock bottom. Her life has been going downhill ever since the show started, when she gave up on her dream to become a new firefighter.
Once she found her own place at the fire department where her father worked, she seemed to be okay.
But then she meets Bode, which disrupts her normal relationship with Jack. From then on, she kept making mistakes, which led to her current situation.
She was living in Leone’s AirStream camper trailer, which remains parked at the fire department. Now that Bode is out of jail, she cancels her wedding to Diego to be with Bode.
She then begins a brief flirtation with him, but things end when Bode wants to take things more seriously than her low-key personal affairs.
Add to that alcoholism, dangerous risk-taking like crazy cliff diving, and a lot of anger towards her father, and it’s the perfect recipe for a woman on the verge of a complete breakdown.
Gabriella’s current habit of making bad decisions to feel something — or perhaps to keep her from feeling anything — has put her in quite a bit of trouble during the show’s fall break.
In keeping with Fire Nation tradition, Fire Nation Season 3 Episode 8 ended on a cliffhanger.
Several of our favorite Fire Station 42 firefighters are in extreme danger.
Gabriella yells at Jack in a typical Perez-style tantrum when he scolds her for disobeying orders during a fire alarm call. She should be suspended or even lose her job when the show resumes.
We left her in the middle of nowhere, trapped by flames on all sides. This was her own doing. She wouldn’t have been in danger if she hadn’t gotten mad because she got in trouble for yelling at her boss.
As usual, she has zero respect for everyone else, especially her father. She and Manny have been feuding all season, and Gabriella continues to act out due to her return to prison.
We expect it from a child, not an adult.
Just when it looks like Manny will be released on parole, Gabriella disappears. As the season winds down, it looks like Manny will go AWOL and leave the prison camp to find his kids.
This doesn’t bode well for his future.
But Gabriella isn’t the only one in danger from an out-of-control fire.
Bode and Audrey are trapped underwater as zombie fire rages above them, blocking all exits.
funniest surprise
While we spent eight episodes immersed in the aftermath of Bode and Gabriella’s relationship, we also got some much-needed insight into secondary characters like Eve and Jack.
Jack lost the love of his life in Fire Nation Season 2, leaving him as a struggling single father to his daughter, who we assumed belonged with Bode.
By the time the show went on hiatus, Jack’s stepdaughter was long gone, choosing to stay in another state with her biological father.
But what we really enjoyed was Eve’s backstory. From meeting her former partner at the Eagle Sanctuary to learning more about her past as a rancher, we’re learning more about the current Three Rock Fire Chief.
The show also finds a creative way for her to take us back home, to her roots. However, returning home was not as warm as she had hoped.
While she was able to repair her relationship with her brother, she was unable to repair her relationship with her father. As the show ends, Eve stands in the middle of her family’s ranch as flames spread around her, touching everything she loves.
Her father’s angry words warned her that if they lost the ranch, he would never forgive her for choosing CFD and the Leones over her legacy.
Things weren’t looking good when the show went on hiatus, which has us worried about the chances of an Edwards family reunion. For Eve’s sake, we hope Station 42 and Sanyan do their jobs and save the ranch before it ruins her future.
Over to you, fanatic. What do you think of Fire Nation Season 3 so far?
What are your hopes for the second half of the season? Are you worried about the safety and future of Station 42 (or Sanyan) firefighters?
