It’s been a long time since The Cure were considered prolific, but frontman Robert Smith seems to be making up for lost time.

Now in a trailer clip In Smith’s upcoming interview with Absolute Radio’s Danielle Perry, the veteran musician details The Cure’s upcoming record.
“There’s another album that’s ready. This is a companion piece to it,” Smith begins. “And then there’s a third one that’s completely different. It’s really kind of random stuff, like late-night studio stuff. But some of it is actually really, really good, just really, really different.
“this Song of the Lost World The album is a very moving work and its companion piece, it’s not quite as dark but it explores other themes more. In fact, the third one is weird. I haven’t finished that song yet because my mind is more focused on performing the songs.
“I really don’t want it to end because it’s so great,” he concluded. “People are responding really, really well to the new music. It’s great to feel all the love people are giving us.
