Evil: Part 2 magically changed its title ahead of next year’s theatrical release.
The follow-up to last month’s hit movie evil will be officially named evil: doing goodUniversal Pictures announced the new name on Monday. The two-part feature, based on the award-winning Broadway production, has been in the works since the stage version debuted in 2003.
The Jon M. Chu-directed film starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo will be released in theaters on November 21, 2025. Demand for the second film is clearly high, with the first one heading into the holiday corridors and having already surpassed $520 million at the global box office.
Loosely adapted from author Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, evil told The Wizard of Oz’character before Dorothy’s arrival. Grande plays Glinda and Erivo plays Elphaba.
