Former My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar dies. He is 44 years old.
The musician, who was the rock band’s longest-serving drummer, was last seen earlier this month and was found dead in his Tennessee home on Tuesday (November 26), TMZ reports. Authorities said foul play is not suspected. Blair’s property – including music equipment and weapons – was not taken.
Animal control was reportedly called to the home and removed two dogs after Blair’s decomposed body was discovered. As of press time, his cause of death had not been confirmed.

Bryar, who previously worked as a sound technician for The Use, joined My Chemical Romance in 2004 while the two bands were on tour. Shortly after the release of their second album, he replaced the band’s original drummer Matt Pelissier, Three cheers for sweet revenge..
Brier was a key member of My Chemical Romance during their rise to fame, contributing to the New Jersey band’s second album, black paradewhich peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in 2006. Dangerous Days: The Real Life of a Fabulous Spoilerbut left the band before its release.
“This is a painful decision for all of us, and one we don’t take lightly,” My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero wrote at the time. “We wish him all the best in his future endeavors and hope everyone will do the same.”
According to TMZ, after exiting My Chemical Romance, Brier retired from the music industry and became a real estate agent. He also devotes much of his time to dog rescue charities and shelters.
Earlier this month, My Chemical Romance announced a series of stadium shows for 2025 in which they will perform black parade whole. Brier was not scheduled to appear at any shows. The 10-city tour will launch in Seattle on July 11, 2025.
