2024 movies Four It’s all about baby steps. Take baby steps toward parenthood. It is based on a true story. *Adapted from Ashley Berry’s book: waiting for rainbow; Her story of infertility and her struggle to overcome it and become a mother.
This “feel good” movie will make you cry.
I did it.
several times.

behind the camera
Directed by Canyon Prince Four A deft touch. He succeeds in giving an authentic feel to this intimate story of tragedy and triumph. Kate Quinn shares writing credit with Ashley, and the story may surprise viewers.
Cinematographer Dante Yore makes every frame feel intimate, tight, and tense. We’re not interested in the context here, but in the players. The people this true story reflects. He killed it, aka; hit a home run with this one.
Simone Cilio gave us a rating that made the couple feel like family, or like neighbors on the outside. Working with production designer/set director Patrick Morales and art director Jennifer Kelsey brought a warm feel to the entire story.
very slow
Four The pace is slow. However, for this type of story, it has to be. Divided into chapters like a book, the pace reflects the agonizing wait that infertile couples must go through. But it must be said that the film does not drag.
baby steps
Four It does feel like baby steps. Those small, hesitant attempts our children make as they learn this new skill. Carl and Ashley are taking action of their own. We walked with the couple every “step”.
The casting of Breslin and Carrasquillo as a couple is almost perfect. They exude a quiet sense of love and affection almost effortlessly.
Kudos to Stacey Dash for playing Beth. She shines as a compassionate, caring officer in a difficult world. And a tip of the hat to Taryn Manning as the doctor. *Both ladies are personal favorites.
hallmark channel
Four It looks like it will likely end up airing on the Hallmark Channel. This is not a dig at all. This channel has some great movies and TV shows. I have a lot of firm favorites there.
judgment
It’s a great month for independent films. Four It’s a solid 5 star. I laughed, I cried. More importantly, however, I cared about this young couple and their journey. The film will be available on Amazon Prime on December 10. check it out.
A quick side note. This is a PG movie. You can take grandma to see it. No nudity, violence, crude language or gore.
*You may want to bring a box of tissues, however.
