Peacock releases full trailer for upcoming assassin thriller series Day of the Jackal. series star Eddie Redmayne Play as a ruthless assassin named “The Jackal” who earns maximum rewards for his life.
In the story, “After his latest killing, he meets a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lashana Lynch) he embarks on a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe in pursuit of the jackal, leaving destruction in his wake.
The series is described as “a bold, contemporary reimagining of the beloved and revered novels and films. While staying true to the DNA of the originals, this contemporary drama will delve deeper into the lives of the chameleons, as the characters at the heart of the story “Anti-Heroes” alike, in a high-octane, cinematic, globe-trotting “Tom and Jerry” thriller set amidst the tumultuous geopolitical landscape of our time.
The series is adapted from the author’s book of the same name Frederick Forsyth.
