Netflix releases the trailer for their documentary menendez brothers. This is not to be confused with Ryan Murphy-Created one season of his anthology series monsterwhich debuted on the same streamer last week, features actors narrating the story.
This is a documentary that follows lawyers, family members, reporters on both sides of the case, and Lyle and Eric themselves.
This file is provided by Alejandro Hartman (Carmel: Who killed Maria Marta?, Photographer: The Pinamar Murders), produced by Ross M. Dinerstein and Rebecca Evans, with Ross Girard and Mark McCune serving as executive producers.
The plot synopsis is as follows: “In 1996, Lyle and Eric Menendez were convicted of murdering their parents in a case that became one of the most famous criminal cases of the late 20th century.
“In their own words, the brothers revisited the trial that shocked the nation for the first time in 30 years. Through interviews with Lyle and Eric, the lawyers who participated in the trial, the reporters who covered the trial, the jurors, Extensive audio interviews with family members and other informed observers.
“Celebrated Argentinian director Alejandro Hartman offers new insights and a fresh perspective on a case that people only thought they knew.”
This actually looks pretty mesmerizing. I can understand the nuances of true crime now, but I was growing up in Southern California at the time of these murders and trials, and I was just angry that my parents’ nonstop coverage was interrupting my after-school TV time. Makes me very angry. saved by the bell and flowering Rerun.
