During the Wells Fargo TMT Summit, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO and Global Streaming President JB Perrette revealed the release schedule for some of HBO’s planned big projects, such as the last of us Season 2 and the Game of Thrones spin-off series, Knights of the Seven Kingdoms: A Knight for Hire.
He said: “Our biggest tentpoles are starting to come back in rotation this summer, with House of the Dragon 2, and then White Lotus, which will launch in the first season in February.
“Then we go into The Last of Us Season 2, and then we have the new Game of Thrones series. [A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms]a smaller series, will launch in the summer.
Season 1 knight of the seven kingdoms will consist of six episodes, based on George R.R. Martin The story of Dunk and Egg.
Martin has previously praised the show, saying: “I visited the set in Northern Ireland in July and loved what I saw. The cast is great. [The lead characters] Dunk and Egg look like they stepped out of my book. My readers will love them. Of course I do. [Showrunner Ira Parker] Well done.
The play tells the story of Sir Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg. Dexter Sol Ansel (The Hunger Games: The Song of Birds and Snakes) has been selected as the egg.
The series takes place a century before the events game of Thrones”, when “two unlikely heroes roam Westeros… a young, naive but brave knight, the tall Ser Duncan (Claffy) and his diminutive squire Aeg (Ann Serge).
The story takes place in an era when “the Targaryens still hold the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not faded from people’s memories. Great destiny, powerful enemies and dangerous exploits await these incredible And an incomparable friend.
martin and Ella Parker is a writer and executive producer on the new series. To date, Martin has published three novellas in the “The Story of Dunk and Egg” series.
These include Hire Knight (1998), Sword of Oath (2003), and Mysterious Knight (2010). A collection of three novellas, illustrated by Gary Giannipublished as knight of the seven kingdoms 2015.
This is the second prequel series that Max has taken over after last year Dragon House. It is expected to be broadcast by the end of 2025. black mirror director Owen Harris will direct three of the six episodes.
The series is written and executive produced by Martin Ella Parker. Executive producers include Ryan Condal, Vince Gerardis, Owen Harrisand Sarah Bradshaw.
